What about .... the weather is strange.... the last 10 days or so it was as warm as normally in September/October and no wind !!! I heard from one of the dive instructors that the water is 84F, too warm also for this time of year .... warm water means problems for the corals and a risk of a very active hurrican season...

Brigitte, please don't mention that "H" word

Water temps at 84F? Yikes, that is way too warm for May! I'm with Grasshopper on this one, let's not even think about the "H" season yet! Weather here has been quite warm lately, no rain in south Jersey in over 13 or 14 days. Not sure, but things are sure dry and pollen is just blowing around everywhere! Rhodos have started popping here, very pretty shades of purple, just in time too. The rhodos will make a nice background for Prom pictures this Friday when Tiffany gets picked up by her boyfriend.

Debbie - hope you have an alternate photo plan. There is a front stalled off the coast that is supposed to back up and give us rain from Thursday-Monday (at least). We've got a lacrosse tournament on Saturday that is rain/shine, not looking forward to that in the rain.

Hi Sue and Jenny,- Yes, pollen is really bad. Yes, there is a back up plan. There is a promenade held inside at the H.S. where professional photos are also taken and she has signed up for those as well. I just like the outdoor ones here at home on their way to promenade. Rain is supposed to be spotty this week-end Sue, so maybe you may get the game in rain free, my son has soccer on Sunday all the way in Pemberton and just think it is "Mother's Day" and they scheduled a soccer game! Oh well, it is the last one anyway.

The drain pipe has gone in in front of my house, and ditch filled in (except for in front of my driveway). The drain directly in front of my driveway is still open, hope they close that tomorrow.

Thanks for sharing this info Brigitte. And yes, it makes one think and worry. Every diver/snorkeler/lover of the earth should be asking "What can we do to help?"

Brigitte, very distressing stuff. Being a Polyanna kind-of person, I think that if the water in the Caribbean gets to hot for coral it will move north/south. Coral off the Carolinas/Virginia could be interesting.

Well, everyone could stop peeing in the water-that'd help keep the temperature down.

I want names here. There is a fine of $2.51 for a peeing violation.
