Nina, Jellyfish populations exhibit seasonality in their choice of habitats. Though there will be Jellyfish in Bonaire waters, not all species are harmful to you. I've never heard any Jellyfish stories, but I should imagine that if Bonaire has a warmer than average Summer, the Sea Wasp could well be present. I'm sure that Jake could give you more info on this. If you're concerned about them, just make sure to protect your skin whilst in the water. Sarah

Three years ago, or so I awoke to the most amazing thing at Sand Dollar dive resort. The entire dock area was ( when there were docks ) filled with wall to wall jelley fish, but approx. an hour or two later they were gone with no evidence that they had ever been there. Maybe this was some sort of periodic phenomina. I don't know. If I remember correctly a dive master at the resort said they were harmless!!
