Any comments if 1 1/2 hours is good for Houston on return from Bonaire? I have never done this route and curious if this is enough time.

We returned through Houston on 10/18 ... by far, it was the smoothest, most well organized customs experience I have ever had ... we were through passport and had baggage then through recheck in probably less than 40 minutes ... we were both amazed.

Seems your return will be sooner than mine - looking at return on 1/17 - so I will be very interested on what you do on the 4th. so do you recheck at ticket window - I do my best to avoid these type of flights but with AJ going out of the system I need a Bright fix so a girl has to do what a girl has to do...

I have flown Continental's Houston-Bonaire twice. The first time the return flight took off more than an hour late; the second time we were right on time. The first time we made it through customs, immigration, etc. fairly quickly, the second time it took close to an hour probably.

You do not have to recheck at the ticket window. Just make sure that when you leave Bonaire, your baggage tags are marked for your final destination.

The cheeser has probably been through Houston customs 20+ times and I've never been over an hour usually around 30 to 40 minutes unless you happen to coincide with "we went cancun and drank A LOT" Charter (is it Sun Air?....I forget in my golden years), Most definitely my favorite customs....Miami always seems way slower and the experience with LAX and the drunken Russian Professional Soccer team is forever etched in my cortex.

I have made many flights from BON connecting in IAH. A 1-1/2 hour connection is usually quite good, even when getting to terminal B for the little plane departures. IAH has the smoothest customs / immigration I have experienced over the last 30 years in many many airports. Enjoy - you should be good.

Coming back into the USA through Houston, was the easiest customs clearing I've ever done. Atlanta, Miami,Charlotte should all take lessons from IAH !!! As for those "widdle" planes..... Continental changed planes on us last month, and stuck us on one of those widdle ones. Let me tell ya, Houston to Pittsburgh on one of em was NO fun.
