I'm flying into Curacao then immediately taking a Divi flight to Bonaire. So here's my question: When I leave Bonaire, do I pay departure tax based on Bonaire to Curacao and then pay departure tax in Curacao for the international portion or do I just pay $34 when leaving Bonaire?

On your customs form in the hotel slot write IN TRANSIT. You should not have to pay a departure tax. At least we haven't traveling through Aruba.

Linda, welcome to BT! When you are on your way to Bonaire through Curacao you will need to pay an "in transit" tax. After checking in with Divi you will go to the departure area. On your way there you will stop at the tax desk and pay the transit tax (can't remember if it was 2 dollars or 4 dollars in Feb) You will need to show them your original boarding pass that shows you did indeed just arrive in Curacao. When you leave Bonaire and show the tax window your Divi boarding pass you will only pay the tax for traveling to Curacao, not the full 34 dollars. When you check in with your airline to leave Curacao ask them if your departure tax is included in your ticket or if you need to pay again. If you do, be sure that at the tax window they know you are in transit.
