This is a link to an article in the Christian Science Monitor reporting an 80% loss of hard corals in the Caribbean over the last 30 years. Bonaire is mentioned very briefly as having a reef preservation program.

'Tangs' is good! Both for the your meaning and because it reminds me of the gangs of Blue Tangs going home on Bari Reef at dusk. Good image!!!
