Hey everyone me again. I have been translating all kinds of words/phrases on the translator. Are there any words good bad or indifferent that I should be aware of?

Kimberly, I doubt you will run into anyone while shopping, dining, diving, etc. that does not speak English.

Go here for a Begining Papiamentu lesson from a Bonaire Local:-)

Buy the new Papiamento phrasebook sold at Chat n Browse. It's really quite good! I find most everyone speaks English aside from some older Antilleans and some South Americans and Dominicans.

Thank you (Masha danki) and Please (it has been a while-- I did know and use it, want to be accurate here!) are the first to learn. As always the islanders rightfully appreciate visitors efforts to use a little of the island culture no matter how well they understand our English!

Mi dushi has it's uses but best look in the book first.
