Good morning everyone. We went mud diving last night. All of a sudden a big black mass was swimming at me. It turned out to be another diver. I can't wait for clear water.

Leaving July 7th. Hurray!!!

See what happens when you start a thread at O'dark thirty in the morning? 9:30 and we already need another thread. :-)

Terri - I can relate to the low-vis diving. Not many lakes here in central Iowa that have anything more than about 3 feet... and that's on a good day! LOL

Morning all...boy, aren't we all busy today! Martine, I arrive on the island THURSDAY:-) the 3rd:-) Leave tomorrow for the airport around 8:30PM:-)

Terri, how did the computer check out this time? I thought you were going to say that the big black mass swimming toward you was a giant black sea bass...we have them here and they get up to 600+ pounds...we got to see a pretty big one last year:-)

Happy Canada Day Eileen!

Cindy,

It wasn't a computer, just a depth guage. I took it back to the shop where the clerk pointed out it was user error. It works fine now that it is set correctly.

We have catfish that weight several hundred pounds in Lake Travis but they hang out in an area where this old guy feeds them and they don't eat too many divers anymore. 8>)

Are the sea bass gregarious or do they shy away? The perch in Lake Travis get quite upset when you don't feed them and they stay with you most of the time.

Can't wait. Counting the days.

Michael,

Do your lakes have any interesting fish? Are they cold? I don't go below 60' because it is soooooooooooooo darn cold and dark, AND this is Texas.

Hi, Martine...still hoping to see your trip report! It was so FUN seeing you and Jean Paul on the cams. Eileen, Annie and I are planning some nice "conversations" for Cynde, Harleyanna and Terri and I see you are prepared to add comments to the pics as well! Busy 2 days and eveyone has captured it all so soon this morning!

Okay, no commenting on my wardrobe when I am in Bonaire. We have agreed to take two pair of shorts, three T-shirts, 2 swim suits, I pair of tennis shoes, and underwear. We are famous for doing "stomp" laundry.

If we need anything else, we'll shop for it.

Terri, if I were you, I would just add a swimming suit and a T-shirt in my hand bag, just in case...
LOL. Personnally, I will do it next time :o)
Don't forget the mosquitoes repellant, this is a MUST. They are articularly agressive this year.
Can't wait till I see you on the cam(s). I think it will be a lot of fun for us... Big sigh !
