GMTA !!!!
Boy do I feel awake right now !!! ( NOT )
We had a late late late night get together with old friends we had not seen in way to long .
And , as we went to daylight saving time, got to bed at about 02.30 pm, and had to get up at 07.00 am.
This , as every sunday , to take our baby daughter swimming.
The dive pictures they took last week did turn out beautifull!!!
have to scan it and will use it in my ID.
Nothing on the cam's right now , wonder why ?
It is only 05.48 on Bonaire right now !!!
6 more days till Curacao and Bonaire , but Hey who's counting ???!!!!
Jake , can't find your PICK's hungarian salami ; any other requests , and please don't ask for extra bandwide, mine is allready big enough. ;-)

CU jos.

The contrast is too much for my system. Can't tell if this guy checking out the camera is a super-closeup of slime, or a parrotfish further away.

Cynde,
Here is a website that will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about Daylight Savings Time - kind of interesting really. Apparently in 1996 the European Union decided to standardize Daylight Savings Time so that must be why it is different from ours.........but there are lots of differences around the world.

Hi, "just plain" Cynde again and everyone...great topics to cover today..I personally like the no daylight savings time in Arizona and Hawaii...the change always takes a week to get used to...much lost productivity for me being in a haze. Here's a pair from the archives...a.jpg

GDTA, don't get me started again on this "summertime"( dutch expression for DST.)
Nice captures everyone.

Hi , good thinking Jake ;-)

Wouldn't that become "belgium cholate milk" ???
After all , if your weatherstation is correct ( which I dearly hope) You're suffering from 30 degrees Celsius, constantly.

Will try anyway, mayby you just get the wraps, does that count for something?

This morning spotted a "alien"dog at your fence, familiar? visitor

gotta go , check in later.

Hi all,
Well, lots of things happened during the time I was working.
I thought USA and Europe were coordinating the daylight saving at the same time, but it isn't. It is exactly one year we came from JFK back to Paris on Concorde ( Yeah, fabulous experience than a supersonic flight ) precisely the day only Europe turned to summer time. The result : Just before boarding we could see both AF and BA Concordes coming from Europe one hour earlier, and 3 Concordes aligned on the JFK tarmac, which is absolutely impossible the other days of the year.
Well Jake, to stick on the webcam topic, I would say how strange Satchmo got the Concorde shape...just missing the wings !
Time for me to go to bed, tomorrow is my last day of work, then I'll rest for three days.
Must have a look to "How to get there", it seems there is no more flight from Curacao to Bonaire...
Hope you have a nice evening.

Greetings, all. We're back Home :-( 2 almost great weeks in Bonaire, and we return to the fear of "SARS" Sudden Acute Respiratory Syndrome.
Not a very nice bug by the sounds of it!!

Thanks for all of your posts of our group, first Sunday at the gate, Thursday diving, and last Friday saying goodbye.

Will be posting the Trip Report - once I get my 35 pages of notes transcribed.

Hope all of you are well!!

Bill

Martine,

Anything from a French boulangerie (as long as it doesn't have mushrooms in it) would be wonderful. When are you coming down again? ;-)

Welcome back Superturtle!! I know what you mean with the SARS! My sister works @ Scarborough Centenary and Xray patients with SARS. But they protect themselves.

Anyway, I have missed some great shots during the day!

Jake, we are planing to stay at Divi from June 7th till 21st. But first, I need to see how to reach BON from CUR, as it seems DAC is not operating ( on the "Amadeus" computer...). Well, it's a lot of time till june, things may change ( regarding Airlines timetables of course ).
We surely talk later about french boulangerie :o)
Superturtle, welcome back, and just prepare yourself to a severe SARS ( Strong And Rough Stress ), also known as PBD.
Well folk, time for me to go to bed. Catch you tomorrow or in five minutes.

Talking about the true SRAS, we at the airport are now invited to wear a mask and gloves when handling each plane coming from Asia, and especially China...

Of course not Cynde !!!!
He said he will have a visit to his doctor and listen what he will suggest. LOL ! He just wants to go to Australia and enjoy to travel with his son he didn't see since august 2002, final point, ans i understand quite well. But Jean Paul is a bit unware or "heroic". I remember when we were agressed in South Africa, he said it was nothing, really nothing, and he decided just to forget it...but we have been very lucky.
He doesn't believe me about the OMS reports we get each day at the airport... 700 passengers are in quarantaine in Singapore and I told him he could spend his holidays stuck in quarantaine when entering Australia ( so far Australian are so strict regarding health and foreign possible contamination...) Imagine when coming from infected areas...but there is no way. Jean Paul is a grown up (or supposed to be a grown up), he will see by himself and perhaps realize I am or was right, but be sure, he'll never confess it. Sure I will worry, but I can't prevent him to go. He is supposed to leave in 10 days and I am supposed to be in bed...

Martine,

DCA's CUR/BON flights will not be showing up in Amadeus, Sabre, or any flight system because they recently switched to Twin Otter planes, and dropped from from ticketing systems. Only way to use them is via the DCA Web site. I'd recommend you save yourself some hassles and take Divi Divi instead (http://www.baibini.com)

Jake
