Hi Annie B., how was today?

Hi Stef, glad your equipment worked out well and that Scott discovered his problem here not there!! A lobster for a ham huh? You might have a deal!! I have a Seaquest BC too and I love it.

Hello Kelly. It was a good day again. Blood tests were fine. Tomorrow is the end of our fourth week. The end is in sight. Thanks for asking. Annie B.

Thanks Mary Lou and Kelly. That packing tip sounds like a good idea to me. You must let us know if it works. Annie B.

Hi Annie, I will let you know. One other thing she said was to use the plastic zip ties instead of locks on the suitcases. Supposedly if they cut a zip tie off they will put a new one on before the suitcase goes into the handlers. I'll let you know on that one too!
|
By Linda Richter - NetTech (Moderator - Post #1335) on Thursday, February 13, 2003 - 5:42 pm: |
I had one of my checked bags hand searched in Boston and they did cut the zip tie and replace it when they were done.

I don't know if that zip tie thing will work. We made it back to the states with them and when they search our bags they cut them off..
|
By Dan A. Kassner (BonaireTalker - Post #46) on Thursday, February 13, 2003 - 6:22 pm: |
Well, of course, the knife you brought along with which to cut the tie is inside the luggage that is closed by the tie!

Ida. Your story made me laugh. Last year my bag was searched and they found a screwdriver which my son had put in without my knowledge. Can you imagine how I felt. (Imagine a gif of me falling through the floor). I had to fill out forms and sign papers just so they could get rid of it. Jeeze. Can't tell you what I told my son. LOL

Ahh, but which of us will catch the divers first?
|
By Annette Bursey (Supreme BonaireTalker - Post #3468) on Thursday, February 13, 2003 - 6:54 pm: |
You will of course. LOL It is 11.00 pm here. What time is it in Alaska right now. Are you five hours behind the uk? Annie B.
|
By Dan A. Kassner (BonaireTalker - Post #53) on Thursday, February 13, 2003 - 7:00 pm: |
Is that the splash of divers diving off to the left of the boat?
|
By Annette Bursey (Supreme BonaireTalker - Post #3469) on Thursday, February 13, 2003 - 7:03 pm: |
Dan. Whoops, me dunderplonk. You are nine hours behind us. Annie B.

|
By Annette Bursey (Supreme BonaireTalker - Post #3473) on Thursday, February 13, 2003 - 7:25 pm: |
Dan.I feel much better now. I thought it was due to old age, and having a brain like a perforated T bag. LOL. I won't see the night divers, but if you do then I put you in charge of posting the pics. Is that a cop out or what. Annie B.
|
By Dan A. Kassner (BonaireTalker - Post #55) on Thursday, February 13, 2003 - 7:29 pm: |
That is definitely a cop-out, especially since I can only check every five minutes or so. I am, of course, still at work, and need to do something once in a while towards that end.

Well, no divers yet, but looks like we're having an over-the-fence conversation.
|
By Dan A. Kassner (BonaireTalker - Post #58) on Thursday, February 13, 2003 - 8:39 pm: |
Well, I've been watching for the divers for a little more than two hours. Either they aren't diving off that boat, or I missed them. Guess I'll sign off for now.

Dan, you have been patiently awaiting the capture of a "live" diver....I hope one comes along for you just at the right time. I can only imagine it is very tough with the time differences between Bonaire and Alaska. Talk about 2 entirely different zones! LOL. Hang in there, Dan! Carole
