Ann, from what I understand, the meaning of Antillean Day has been deminished to "a free day for everyone" . It used to be a day to celebrate the Antillean unity, but with that unity under a lot of pressure, only the day off remains

Hi Mark, I really don't know if it is a real rainbow, but for sure it has the primary colours. Afterall, everything is so unusual and magic on Bonaire they may special raibows fit for the beachcam field.
My goodness, this is a true rain, perhaps a new rainbow soon...

Martine, I'll post your capture again in large format, so all the others can enjoy it fully.

Igor, Mark, I just found some explanation on Internet regarding rainbows. They say the higher the sun is, the lower the rainbow appears and vice versa. Thank for posting an enlarged pic, it truly seems to be a rainbow.

Hmmm, guess the rainbow explanation makes sense. Martine, maybe it is a rainbow parrot with it's rainbow washed off.

I'd say the rainbow-phenomonon is nothing more than a lens-flare of the webcam ...
If you look real good, the right leg ends into the water, before the horizon ... this rules out the Rainbow theory ...

Clouds? Rainbow? Lens flare? I wish... It's snowing this morning in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada!!!! And it's, oh, so miserably real.

But there is a rainbow in the leaden and grey sky over Edmonton, if only in my head: tomorrow in three weeks I'll be heading out to the airport, on my way to bonny and balmy Bonaire for my very first time!!!

Good morning, All! Happy Antillian Day! As it's snowing here in Green Bay, WI and they're predicting 2-6 inches, I'd settle for any excuse to take the day off! Karl, we'll suffer the too early snow together. It's so early some of the leaves are still green and few have fallen. Does that mean we get to shovel and rake simultaneously? I just counted and only 74 more days til we're basking in Bonaire! Hoo-wee! THAT makes the snow a teensy bit more bearable. I think I'll just sit here and watch the cams all day. Bookie
