I just checked out the weather map tracking hurricane Isadore, now downgraded to a tropical storm. Looks like it will hit the Lousiana cost on Thursday, and I'm due to fly to a meeting in New Orleans tomorrow.

I dropped down to see the Carribean weather map for a larger view and saw that the next hurricane/tropical storm "LillY?" is tracking pretty far south, like close to Bonaire.

Jake, are you watching this thing?

The flat water today looks wonderful to me!

We were diving off of Key Largo, Florida last Th-Fri-Sat, and while the water was very warm (85F), it was very choppy - 4-ft swells, made for challenging entries & exits from the dive boat. Still better to be diving than not!!!

Hi Ginny,
What is the viz like down there? I live in Florida and never dive here? Well Panama City and the gulf. But it's really not that great viz between 3'-50' so you never no what your getting into and everyone around here just dives to spear fish.

Hi Ida - viz was pretty good, not great. The dive sites around Key Largo are all part of the Pennekamp Marine Park, so no fishing/ spear fishing/ touching/ taking, etc. Viz was probably about 30' - water was fairly stirred up due to all the wave action.
