Morning everyone - bit black on the cams just yet!
Marie, in answer to yesterdays question, I start my cruise on 23 October in Barbados, which will be a real tonic 'cause there is a definite touch of autumn in the English air! Popping in to the webcams reminds me of what sun is like!!

Hi Angela,
Sounds like a lovely cruise, Its a shame you cant stay longer on Bonaire. Have you been to Bonaire before?

Hi Marie, yes I came last year and had an afternoons snorkelling - I loved it as it was the first time I had snorkelled and I was so excited I almost choked because I breathed incorrectly!!

I was so pleased to be there I didn't have time to be scared, and this will be my fourth snorkelling trip so I am not experienced, just enthuisiastic!! Charlotte seems to be want to be a movie star, she just keeps appearing, surprised she doesn't hold up a placard with a message on!

Yes, it is a beautiful day to be diving!

I am in severe BON depression, as my dive group is there this week & I am watching the cams looking for them... I had to give up my spot in the group due to career change (i.e. income decrease....)

SNIFFLE!

Susan, I bet you'll be on-island same time as Glenn. He's going in thirty days and counting. You can have a BT Reunion for us!

The 8:46 looks like a French Angelfish to me. Good catch!

Can someone help me with a tech question?
I like to keep the Bonaire site running on my computer sometimes (especially when I'm doing boring tasks that don't need me to use it for work purposes), but every time the site refreshes with new captures, it goes to the top of the page, so I can't even see the reefcam.

Is there any way to keep the alignment I want when the site refreshes?

Hi Carol.
I tried to post the last pic in a large, and it said file too big.
I see we have two susans now, two Annie's, and two Cindy's. We are going to get confused. Hello everyone.

Anita - not at this time. It's one of the things on the wish list. The only option right now is to change your browser window size (which may require you changing your display resolution or even getting a more capable monitor). Oh, and there is one more thing that might help with this - a Gold-level member of the Bonaire WebCams doesn't see ad banners, on the BWC site when logged in, so that would remove some of the vertical space involved...

Anita, I have a MAC solution for this. Are you using PC or MAC?

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By Niki Harris on Wednesday, September 4, 2002 - 5:16 pm:     Edit PostPrint Post

You know, I should just post it anyway, right Mac users?

Since windows of open documents are floating, adjustable things on screen, and the entire narrow border of the windows are grabbable, just size the window to include all four cams upon refresh by moving the window up and then stretching down some more, then leave it part-way off the screen. Each time it refreshes the reef cam shows. Ta-da!! (To close it use command-W or grab and pull the top strip into view to use the close box.)

Anita,

Another solution for the ReefCam, is to show only the ReefCam. Then the update will show most of the picture. Added to Jake's point abut 'losing' the ad banners, you would see only the ReefCam pic. Best one anyway, right??

Anita - I run my monitor at 1600x1200 and still have room for the Bonaire Chat next to The Works. I do have a 19" monitor. With a 17" you can see all of the cams at your highest resolution, I believe.

Hi Annie B, Hi Rusty.
Rusty How do you get your icons to stay at the bottom of your desktop screen, I drag them down and they just go back.

People, thank you very much for the ideas. Unfortunately a gold membership is out of the question right now (which means seeing the webcams from the other side is DEFINITELY out of the question, barring a Lotto hit), and I don't have a Mac, but Rusty, your screen shot inspired me, and I'll fool around with that today. Also keeping just the reef cam going worked well.

I know I'm practically a lurker here - thanks for taking the time to help anyway.
