I've tried refreshing, and closing my browser & getting back in, but all of the cams are stuck at 9:16.

It appears the link from Bonaire to the rest of the world (and the WebCams server in Massachusetts) is down. Seems to be a router loop in Miami causing the problem...

The outage was the fiber link between Bonaire & Curacao. Appears to have been out for about 3 hours. I've initiated the recovery of the images that were captured but didn't make it to the server in NH. Should have the archives all filled in for today in a couple of hours or so.

Jake, on that subject... What kind of connections (internet-infrastucture-wise) are running to and from the islands? Is there an ISP on the Antillen? Your company only does hosting, right? If you prefer to mail me privately, that's okay.

If they have a good internet connection, I might...

For our capture server and office Internet we have leased line service through BonaireLive (a Bonaire ISP), which in turn gets its service through Carats (a division of UTS/Antelecom in Curacao). The leased line connected to a router at the local Bonaire telephone company (Telbo), from which fiber goes to Curacao, and from there to Florida (Genuity and Teleglobe).

~98% of all Bonaire Internet connections are via dial-up, however.

We host via servers we own and operate, located at a high-bandwidth colocation facility in Massachusetts, USA. That's where the server for BonaireTalk as well as the server for the Bonaire WebCams site, and dozens of other Web sites as well.

Hello all! My daughter and I are finally back from our first Bonaire adventure-it was great-didn't get to the reefcam, but the street cam got us on 8/2 16:44-48. I'm the dude in the straw hat. We'd spent the day diving 1000 steps and Weber's Joy, and were headed back to Lion's for a sunset dive! What a great trip!

Ah, I get it! I was thinking "web link" = "link to a Web page", not "web link" = "physical connection of how WebCam data gets from Bonaire to the rest of the world".
