65 years ago today the invasion of Normandy began.

Good Afternoon Bill and Michelle...nobody has been posting much lately, Bill!

Had to take Momma food shoppin' today..now I'm tired...sun is shining...a nap, then a walk...wish I could nap.....here!

Not sure what or if there was an event, but one time I was there, the Dutch Army was present. I watched as a platoon advanced up the waterfront. The leader would signal, and half the men would sprint a way, then freeze behind any cover they could find. Then a minute later, the other half of the men would sprint past the first group, and then freeze in likely and unlikely places.

This was fascinating to watch, especially on peaceful, non strategic Bonaire. Felt strange, and I was thankful to not be living where there's war.
