Hey, look out at the reef cam soon..BLACK skies..the rain has been intense all day. Can anyone clarify if there is a storm system over Venezuela? I am looking at

www.stormcarib.com

and see nada but it appears in the radar that heavy rains are south of BON.

I love it...RAINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

Annie

Morning Annie,
The pic I posted didn't come out so great - thought it looked like a rainbow at first. Here's one from earlier this morning.

Annie,
I tried to check the satellite images (not too great at reading them) it looks like something is happening over Venezuela - lots of clouds.....it doesn't look wet on the StreetCam...

Annie, some info for you..

Atlantic Ocean

Today's Discussion
July 28, 2002 06:30 a.m.

The tropics continue to be very quiet as we approach the end of July. We are currently tracking three tropical waves moving west across the Atlantic Basin at 15-20 knots.

The third wave is centered near 60 west and south of 23 north. Although there is some decent convection around this wave, atmospheric conditions are not favorable for development at this time. However, as this wave moves west it will bring some gusty winds and heavy downpours to the Leeward Islands, Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

http://www.weather.com/maps/geography/oceans/caribbeansatellite_large.html shows rain over Venezuela and clouds coming north to Bonaire. Best info is holding out your hand to see if it gets wet. :–)

New Jersey is "cooking" again, too...worse for tomorrow and Tuesday. Warnings up all over the place for kids, elderly and folks with respiratory problems in addition to the heat and humidity....index up over 105 again for two days. What a summer this has been...bring on fall, already! Enuff!!! It's cooler near the equator in Bonaire!! Ah....to be on Bonaire....Carole

Hi Carol! I know the feeling, we have the same warning is Southern Ontario. It is hot and sticky. I have a bit of a cold, and I went outside for a little while and I feel worse. I agree with you, Bonaire!! Eileen
