Good morning all,
Well it sounds I am stuck home till thursday , I saw my doctor because of my back ache and she said I have slipped discs. Need to have Xray photography and perhaps a scanner of my vertebras. I'll have plenty of time to chat on BT . Have a nice day all.

Hi, morning Maria. Don't worry about the slipped discs, they won't avoid me to dive, I'll just ask Jean Paul to carry my tanks and he will be very happy... (. I think this is the age for this kind of pain and can't help, I'll only try not to get it turn worse.

Good Morning All!
Martine, sorry about your back - I suffered with it all last summer. Had the MRI, it is "age-related" :) - I try to be very careful now and not lift or move anything heavy. I find that doing the same thing over and over (like mopping the floor) aggravates it. Does it hurt when you sit?

Carol

Morning Annie and Carol,
How are you this morning ?
I feel much better now I started with medicine. No problem for sitting, but i can't stand lying on my back, that's why, the best curative is BT. Have a nice day. Are you working tonight Annie ?

Thank you Martine and Annie B.
I have just had some flowers delivered to my door, a lovely bouquet from a friend, and lots of lovely cards. (My husband brought me a new bed) very romantic!! ( I think we have been married too long) only joking. We celebrated more yesterday as I had the family visit, and visitors.

Morning All!

Thought I would pop in before I go off to work. The water looks so peaceful and calm right now, just like glass.

Martine, I sympathize with you back problems. I’ve had 4 herniated discs removed in two operations this year. Bone removed from my hip to replace the discs and a titanium plate implanted to stabilize my neck. I’m about to start back to work after my second surgery.

I read a lot about disc problems over the last 8 years. In the majority of cases the best thing to do is gentle back strengthening exercises prescribed by and or monitored by your doctor and swimming (especially in Bonaire!) It was found in the majority of cases (unfortunately not my case) symptoms would disappear over time. Don’t let anyone rush you into any radical procedures, take your time and it will probably get better. Note: In my case it’s a degenerative problem.

Good luck! Sounds like a great excuse to go to Bonaire to me.

Hi Scott, thanks for your encouragements. I wish I won't have to go through surgery. I do sympathize with your back problem too, but your case was quite serious. Wish everything looks good for you now and turned just a bad memory. Right ! Swimming and diving in Bonaire is the best therapy, I will do it as often as I can. Have a nice work day.

Hi, everyone! Just peeking in like this little fish. Sorry to hear of your back problems, Martine..I've been plagued for 2 years after herniating 2 discs/surgery, yuck...unfortunately a common problem for us active people. Water therapy is the best! Have a great day all!

Martine,

Sorry to here about your back problems. I know they can be very frustrating and slow to heal.

Many years ago my wife, Cheryl, had her back lock up while she was brushing her teeth just before going to bed. She was standing at the sink frozen and couldn't move. After several attempts to get her to walk to bed I picked her up by the arm pits and carried her to bed. She managed to endure the pain by biting my shoulder so hard I thoughtI was the one going to hospital!! Hasn't happened since, thank goodness.

Good that sitting at the computer is comfortable for you smile

Cheers everyone,

Bill

"Research is what I'm doing when I don't know what I'm doing." Ha..

I think that's Bas? Wonder if he is responsible for the cleaning!

My guess is a Sergeant Major. At first I thought it was a Reef Angel, but then I saw the other fish noted in the attached picture. The other fish is definitely a Sergeant Major and has the same pattern as the larger fish in the foreground. I think that its head is turned so you can’t see it thus giving an illusion of a headless fish. The afternoon backscatter is making it hard to see overall.

It does sound like a song. I think the name came from the number of stripes the fish had were the same as a Sergeant Major, five.

Waaahhhh....you're right Annie, I am SO suffering from PBD or PBS, what ever you want to call it, I've got it! I am a convert though for sure! I am just building up the stamina to do my trip report, probably in the next couple of days. Have tons of email to catch up with.

Hey, there Mercy! Glad you had a great trip! I sent some email postcards over to you the other day...did they make it OK? Some shots of you at the front door and in the water with Annie & Mags...hope you received them OK. Can't wait to hear all about your trip....PBD is a tough one to shake...you must start planning your next trip as part of your therapy!! That's the only cure.....a return trip to Bonaire! Carole
