Roger,
For part of our dive group it's only 17 days. Alas for us it's 38 days, 22 hours, 16 minutes and 40 seconds but who's counting. :-)

It was not a plane
It was not a bird
It was not superman

It had to be a UFO.

Even most of the donkeys are hiding from the rain.

Hey Kathy, When are you going back to Bonaire? Love seeing all the pics of places you have been going to, but no trips to Bonaire? Just curious about that.

Deb, we just want to see all the things we haven't seen, and honestly, some of those things you can't find in Bonaire. I like going differnet places, but loved Bonaire and kept the connection until we go back. We've been stopped by 2 things, Daniel not being able to go, and we had to cancel the trip last year because of my family's huge health crisis and moving. But now that we've seen everything on the list but hammerheads, so Bonaire is probably next year, too, and I hope with Daniel in tow. We usually do 3 trips a year.

Talking to Larry just now, Bonaire is definitely on next year's list, whether Daniel comes for the summer or goes with us or not. (which will be sad if he does not come, does not go with us, that was and is a dream, to share that glory of clear blue sea and shore diving the vibrant reefs and the wrecks with the only child of our 6 between us who loves it as much as we do). We are ready to go back. It's the best place we've ever been. But then, once the kids (but Daniel) were grown and gone, we started pretty much at the top when we were free to travel, with Bonaire. So you see, we had to work our way down. lol

Geez why can't I say it all in one post? lol Moving to FL has helped tremendously in that we can pack up for a weekend and go to Lauderdale or the Keys, or just go for a Saturday to Venice or one of the nearby springs and dive. We can live the dive life now that we live in FL. Diving's not just for expensive vacations anymore. And next on this year's list, as fall descends on even FL and so will winter, though mildly....we'll go for a glorious visit again with the manatees. Then it starts all over again with a January trip to somewhere special, then May dives around here, then a June vacation, a July Keys trip, a late July and/or August trip to somewhere. Then here we are again.

Thanks, Kathy. You are sure lucky to be so close to some great diving! I was in Texas when you posted your trip to see the whale sharks and couldn't download your pics, then, will have to go to the archives and see how they came out! :-)
