Doesn't look good for the Reef Cam!!

My theory is the cleaning of the reef cam yesterday removed the gunk that was holding it together.

If you like, a silly contest for today. Who can come up with the best excuse for the reef cam?

OK, a large ray is draped over it taking a nap.

Not sure why the ReefCam went down yesterday, but power cycling it this morning brought it back to life...

I had visions of the mooring block plunging down the slope as the cause for the outage, and was very relieved to find that was not the problem.

Looks like FTV is acting up again. The DK is still online. Not many donks today, but here's a delivery to the Sanctuary.

Did you guys know there's an American aircraft carrier in the area? I believe it's docked off Curacao today and will also be going to Aruba. We could possibly see it go by on the cams, maybe. Heck, we've seen the QEII!

I haven't been on this group for a couple of years but I don't remember sand on the Bonaire beaches.

Did somebody bring it in?

Hey Terri. Much has changed since you were last here, I'm guessing. "J" and the family moved to another part of the island, and thus the webcams had to move. Long story short, Eden Beach (I guess they have a small naturally formed sandy beach), Bongo's and WannaDive came to the rescue and the cams are now located on their property. Sorry, don't know where the full story is to link you there.

Many new names and faces since you were last here too, but still a great group of people. :-) Welcome back!! :-):-)

Hi Terri - when I saw your name pop up - I thought it has been a while!!!:-) They have moved the cams since you last logged on!!

This is at Bongos and yes they have sand there - it is next to Eden beach - right next to where the old Sunset was (which is now a pile of rubble)

Hi Lisa,

As I remember you had to REALLY LOOK for sand in Bonaire.

Jake probably moved because of all the out of towners dropping in on him, including us. I miss the cam on their front door.

We sure to need to go back. We heal in Bonaire.

Hi Mary,

Is Eden beach the place with the clothing optional resort? It's nice to be back. I'm addicted again and have only been back with you guys for a few minutes.

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By Mary Mueller (Supreme BonaireTalker - Post #4467) on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 - 5:10 pm:     Edit PostPrint Post

Hi Terri - that would be too funny if Eden was clothing optional - then the cams would have to be censored!!!LOL!!

Sorobon on the east side is clothing optional. Eden just south of the circle - you cannot see it from the road - you go down a now paved road to the resort - it is tucked in next to Harbor Village!!!

Its nice to have you back and yes easy to get addicted again!!! Did you notice the new donkey am?!?!?

Also we named the wreck that is in front of the cams Willy!!!

Fish highway

Okay, okay, I'm oriented now. I have never been down that road but certainly remember Harbor Village.

Making myself get oriented to where this all is cosmically taking me there.

I have a new BC that I bought two years ago that has never gotten wet.

Hi Laura :-) no the sunset just didn't quite make it tonight. I think the Sand is just a top up for the beach, there was another pile on the south cam yesterday , which got spread around by a digger yesterday. It got too close to the reefcam cable for comfort

Hi Timmy and Tara. That shot was from J's back yard, before he moved house. You would not believe the sunsets we used to see from that location. I saved some to disk, but now I wish that I had saved them all.

Tonight's non event.
