Good morning all. Stepped out on the deck and there is a huge moon low over the water. Found it on Bon, too. Full moon is not till Thursday, but it's almost there.

A bit of trivia, the full moon name is Full Fish Moon. Maybe it'll lure them in.

Fred, it's pretty addicting once you get the hang of it. Details are under Formatting at the bottom of the page. A quick and dirty lesson is as follows:
1) save the picture (must be 49k or less)
2) type in \image{whatever you want to call it}
3) post the message, you will be prompted by the next screen to import the picture.
4) keep in mind that only webcam images are to be posted on this page

If you go to the bottom of this screen, and click on "Formatting", you will find all of the really neat stuff you can do, including pictures from the cams!!



It should tell you to use the '\' followed by the'{' with no spaces, and then whatever caption you want for your webcam capture, followed immediately (no spaces) with the other '}'

Hit enter and it will give you your postable message with the black box "your picture here".
Enter again, and it should allow you to browse to find the location of your stored photo. Double click on the stored photo, and then click on upload!! That's It!! But remember, ONLY webcam shots here - others can go over in Community Chat (CC)

The dangly thing was an old ratty life preserver that someone had tied to the mooring block the ReefCam is on. I couldn't get it off without zinging myself on fire coral, so I did the next best thing - I secured the top of it to the back part of the mooring block so that it will no longer free float into view.

BTW, it's been so long since the last "deep clean" of the ReefCam and zinc anodes that fire coral had started to encrust the camera and PVC filter-holder! Fortunately there was a good current today so I scraped the parasitic stingy stuff off (it's not a real cnidarian/coral) with my shears.

Wasn't the dozer - we've been black since 14:58. I was hoping some work was being done on the hardware and that was the reason we're in the dark. I wanted to wait a little bit before using the magic word, just in case Jake was doing some tweaking.

I wonder what they're up to, anyway.

Lisa, I can see the bird if I tilt my laptop screen. Cool! From work it just looked like black and blue mishmash.

Fingers crossed we don't have a cable problem. The transmission of pics has ceased as well. 2 hrs behind. Must be that moon messing with things.

Due to circumstances beyond my control the sunset for tonight is delayed. Dangnabbit as Bill would say.
