Morning all! Was looking to start the thread with a magnificent beach capture or maybe some funny donkeys - NOT! Darn it all! All 5 of the cams are messed up. :-( Well...I'll hang around for awhile to see if they come back up. If not, be sure to have yourselves a fun day!

Good morning. :-) Ah well, maybe the site will be working right, soon. We've got that first blue light of morning here so I imagine it's that way on Bon. Nope, I forget! Even though we're on the same time, that sun still gets there an hr earlier! :-)

Morning Everyone, cams down = even more housework getting done! LOL Jeez, I am starting to think someone needs to start a business on Bonaire that does the same thing Flamingo does and make a million! Sometimes competition makes one do a better job and Flamingo is really bumming me out with no cams! :-(

:-) :-) Good Morning, Jeanine, Lisa, Debbie and Kathy, plus all of those still to come!! :-) :-)

Had a weird one about 1 AM this morning - tried to check on the cams - and couldn't connect to the webcam page at all.
So, just in case I was wrong with my Flamingo TV assumption, ah, Jake..... can you confirm for us that it is Flamingo messing up with packet loss - again??

Thanks a bunch!! :-) :-)

:-) Bill :-)

Morning All - I think there are things going on all about. I received a recorded message from Network Solutions that that had a major outage and would be experiencing slow-downs and inoperability for the next few days.... that's pretty major :-(
We so rely on the technology!

Wow, can you imagine sitting there on April 15, at 11:45 pm, ready to hit the submit key on your preferred tax program, and lose your internet connection? :-(

Maybe I'd better do them by the 14th, just in case!

Well, the lost Internet connection is what's blocking WebCam images from Eden Beach.

There's apparently some sort of disconnect between Miami and Curacao on the circuits that Flamingo TV uses.

I stopped by the WebCams server room yesterday and found that on-island connectivity was fine, but outgoing signals stopped in Curacao. Likewise, doing a trace from our web servers in Massachusetts to the WebCams server on Bonaire, the signal gets as far as Florida, and no further.

Very odd...

Jake

Gail, you can always file your taxes the old-fashioned way--by snail mail! :-)

Cams, of course, are still down, except for the donkey cam

5

and there's no donkeys showing. Haven't seen them much lately. Are they protesting the beach cams being down? "We won't show ourselves until you guys get the cams fixed"?

Well, that sad. I get back from a convention and all the cams are down but the donkey cam. And no donkeys either. Oh, well. Lovely day in MO. Hope you all have great weekend. See you Monday!

Okay, I've really been needing the cams this afternoon to de-stress, so I decided to go to last year's archives for this time today.

close call our old view

Wow, I just noticed the tilt on the Reefcam. I had forgotten about that. Sliding, sliding, sliding. I'm glad 'J' and crew were able to fix that. :-)
