Spring is here! Spring is here! Spring is here!

Actually it arrives at 2:36pm Bon Time (1:36pm here at home:-)). I hope I am somewhat right!

Now I should be able to go to the window at our house and see, birds, green grass, leaves and flowers growing.... Nope didn't happen...

Superturtle, I hope your kitty gets better!!

I'm so glad it's officially spring! You should see signs of it soon, Eileen. I think here it's about the frogs. lol They're everywhere.

Only the donkey cam seems to be working right now...

Good Morning Kathy, how did your house 'stuff' go yesterday?

I love the sound of frogs in spring, it will be a few weeks for that though.

We couldn't get in the house, the lockbox is off (and we had the code so we could go in before). But, the fencing on the dock is repaired, a piece of siding has been replaced, and the pool pump is back on and the water was blue again. Inside, there was a door that wouldn't shut properly that I'm sure is fixed now. I feel pretty good about it and think we're ready to close.

I look forward to seeing pics when you finally can relax and settle in! I hope everything will go well for you!

I hear movement upstairs, the work week for Joel has begun. I am going to get ready. I am going to the chiro this morning, my right shoulder is hurting - I slept on it wrong again:-(. Massaging helps but it doesn't make the pain go away:-(.

So I wish everyone a great morning! Bye for now!!!

Hope your chiro fixes you right up. :-)

It's already 67 and the sun's not up yet. It will be 86 today. Have to get in the closet and find something summery. :-)

See ya'll later. :-)

Good morning all. Mid-Missouri is expecting snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain depending on how far north you are. Our area is expecting 4-6 inches. So much for spring. :-) Wish I was on the beach in the warmth instead!

Eileen,it sounds like you will be ready for the big event very soon. Hang in there.

Superturtle, I'm so sorry about your kittie. Glad they were able to help him. I have a friend that had a diabetic kittie for many years. Neither one enjoyed the medication/shots but enjoyed the extra years together.

Stay warm everyone who is not experiencing summer already. I'm jealous.

Have a good one!

Good Morning to Annie B, Debbie, Timmmmmmmmy, Elvira and Christine!

The shoulder feels better after chiro, my neck pain is gone too. It will be a few more hours before the pain is gone 100%, it's more annoying than anything else. Quinn is napping:-), so I can rest. We are doing a Walmart run this afternoon, for something to do! LOL! Tomorrow, if nothing is happening, it's off to my parents, maybe that would kick start things LOL!

The only thing spring like here is the sunshine:-).

Eileen I'm glad you're shoulder feels better... bet once you and little It aren't in the same body you'll sleep a little better (when you can, lol).

SuperT - best of luck with the kitty. I too, have a friend with a severely diabetic kitty who is doing pretty well.

Okay, time to pack up the work I brought home and get ready to head to the shop....

Have a great day Annie, Debbie, Timmmmy, Kathy, Elvira and Christine.

Good Morning Everyone. Thanks for the well wishes for my 'Old Man', but it wasn't to be.
By now, I hope he is chasing birds and butterflies in a beautiful, green field, or jus relaxing, and watching other cats play.

He was 18, or so, and had been with us for 16 years. He was a stray, with a very bad attitude, but he quickly mellowed out.

Won't be back for today. Have to keep myself busy. Second worst day in a year!!

But, I will leave you with a calm, peaceful view.

At Peace With The World

Thanks again, for your concern.

Bill

Hi all
How many of you actually live in Bonaire? For those who havent seen any of my postings, I will be making my first visit in two weeks, and have been trying to get a feel for it. I have received some very helpful hints for activities for my elderly mom who is coming with me. For the locals, if you got to bars, for beer or music, where do you go? I have read Many of the restaurant reviews, and am looking forward to those.
Thanks all, and see you soon
M

Michael, hope you have a great time in Bonaire. I have yet to make it there and live in the Midwest. I am trying to arrange a trip down in the next year or so. Need to brush up on my dive skills though.

My, you sound chipper, Seb! It is cold here in South Jersey today, but I did notice some tulips and daffadils popping up in my gardens, but not opened yet.

Daughter has a varsity softball game today and am dreading going out in the cold to watch. Thinking it is way too cold to play ball, but H.S. coaches think otherwise. :-( Got to go see if I can find my gloves and hat for this and long johns too! Those fields have a wicked wind that goes right through you.

Bummer on the cams being down.

Bill and Karen, Sending big ((((HUGS))) to you both.

Gail, Sending big (((HUGS)) to you too and while I am at it, I will send lots of (((HUGS))) to anyone else who may need them as well.

Got to go make some dinner as I will sitting on a softball field when I should be making dinner if that makes sense to anyone. LOL!

A.E., Bonaire is not a big 'party' town. Karel's is a bar downtown on the water where a lot of locals go. Click here for virtual tours of Karel's

Click here for more virtual tours of Bonaire

Also check out www.infobonaire.com (click on evening entertainment).

Do a keyword search (at the bottom of this page) for "beer" and you will find a lot of info on where to go for beer on the island:-)

Hi Tara :-)

I've missed chatting with you & the Friday night Happy Hours. I have TERRIBLE PBD.
Did you get my e-mail from (approx) 2 weeks ago?

I'm working on the pic's every night after work - trying to get some order to them (and that's pretty hard for me)! I hope to have trip report/pic's done this weekend. The pictures do bring back wonderful memories though :-) Trying to identify the fish is fun - looking them up on the fish cards :-)
Hope all is well with you.

Gail, I somehow missed that. (((BIG hugs))) to you as well. I've got an old kitty, (13 years) and lost our dog a year ago, not long before we moved. She was old, too. Just hard. And who mentioned Rainbow Bridge? I like to believe that. :-)

On the cams, any word on hope for the future? Whatever internet system the donkey cams on seems to work without fail. Just wondering, because I miss the cams BAD!

Oh, and no closing today still.
And I just found out the taxes will be so delinquent the county may take the property for auction April 1. Hmmm. Good thing to know, I think. The seller can't pay the taxes till we close and he has our money. Flipping houses is not so easy, I think!

Elvira, sorry so long to respond, I think I got a million e mails today. Some people believe that on the Spring, or Vernal Equinox, right at the exact time, you can balance an egg on it's fat end. I usually try to remember to do this for luck, and I've done it in a variety of circumstances.
And today is the vernal equinox, according to my Bonaire Creations Calendar.
