Morning Stan, Eileen and Margarita!

How is everyone this morning? Sorry to hear of all the rain you're having, Stan, we are going to get it on Thursday! Better than snow, but tell that to the kids. We got a break from the cold, going to be 48F today. That cold from the other day was terrible.

Today is going to be very busy getting everything all set for my parents coming Thursday. A little behind, but who isn't.

Hey! There are two threads and I'd gone to the other! Good morning!

Beautiful sunrise Stan and Eileen. :-)

Debbie, we're going to have to help each other stay away from all those luscious cakes and cookies and candy the next few days. I was BAD yesterday. Worked out really good last night, but I'm thinking I'm going to have to starve the next few weeks to be "beach ready" by January 16th. wah

I agree with you, Kathy, it's gonna take some team work to stay away from all the goodies this holiday season! We can do it, just a little nibble here and there so we don't feel too deprived though!

First ray I ever saw on the cams! Great way to start the day!

Stan, I think the ray is moving away from the cam, in the large pic, I can make out its tail, so I am guessing it is the underneath of him, left side.

Where are my manners? Welcome, Mark, I read your intro. late last night after work. Lucky, lucky you to be on Bonaire Christmas Eve! I am not jealous!!! Am too!. I will be on Bonaire early February, so my countdown is a little longer.

Mark, Stan might be right, it being Jake, I think he cleaned the u/w cam for us less fortunate people who can only look at Bonaire through its lens! BTW, Jake and his lovely wife Linda started this website and have done so much work keeping it going ect.
Yup, u/w cam looks clean as a whistle!

Well..Ive got alot to learn..I guess if Jake was working then the gloves are ok..but gloves are a general no no in my book..as a DM I dont allow rec divers to wear them when they dive with me..there isnt anything to touch on the reefs..I dont think..I do know alot of divers that wear them for protection though and have to say Ive suffered coral burns a few times myself..lol

Hi Kelly,

I did see the site and pictures this morning, thought maybe Jake might have come back? Well, alrighty then, who is that mystery diver then?

Mark, yes, gloves are a no-no on Bonaire. We don't use them when diving. I have gotten a few cuts coming out of some site from time to time myself, Mark. LOL. :-) Maybe, whoever that was will see our posts and make himself known.

NO TOUCH, NO TAKE, NO BREAK!! Any diver who is wearing gloves other then cold water is part of the problem and will never be part of the solution. He must have brought them on the Island I have never seen gloves for sale on Bonaire in the 30 years I been going there. Mabe a rookie with little comprehension. I don't mean to sound rude but someone had to protect the reef. Good Morning to all ans Merry Christmas.

Actually, there was one back in July, just after the cams were moved there. Thought it was a manta at first because it looked so huge, but you could see his spots. :-)

There was another odd thing on yesterday's pics that I am thinking might be a moray. Did ya'll peek at that?

Mark - the webcams threads are for posting pics from the web cams. To prevent the cam cops from beating up on you - you can post that picture on the community chat thread or everything else bonaire thread.

Instructions for posting pics are in the formatting icon on the bottom of the threads. If you do not understand the process - ask questions! You know we will help you out!

Kathy: I saw the pic in yesterday's thread, could be, could be a moray. I tried to enlarge it, but it got all blurry.

Enjoy it..its the best thing to happen to me in years!!

Mark, I remember when my daughter, now 16, got her certification. OMG! We were so proud and her father just was busting at the seams and to see them go into the water together makes my eyes tear! She is going to be a marine biologist and my son is like a fish in water, already has had a tank on him, he's a natural. Safety is #1, especially when they first get cert. My daughter is much better now.

My oldest stepdaughter (also a diver) has always said she wanted to be a marine biologist as well. I hope she doesn't give up the dream. Seems to be slipping away, as she's 20 and in college, working full time and "in love". But maybe not. :-)

My youngest stepson wants to be a DM and work at resorts in the caribbean. lol You know his mother hates THAT dream. That boy loves to dive almost as much as his dad and I. Out of 6 kids, only two dive, but they are just as "fanatic" about it as we are.

It's so much fun diving with the kids. Next...the grandkids. :-)

Nothing on the cams but this fellow!

Mark, to post a pic just right click and save it....then in teh Add a Message box put in (without spaces) \image {1} - then a screen will come up asking you to replace what's in the bracket with the pic saved on your computer. Try it!

Hey Mark,

Just noticed you were from Jersey! So am I! South Jersey that is. Raised in North Jersey, but it got so hectic, I left, but South Jersey is getting just as bad now.
Remember to smile for cams. Hold a BIG sign and get close, hard to read all the signs people put up. You haven't put up a pic with your profile, so how are we gonna know you???

Kathy, hope your oldest stepdaughter keeps with it. My daughter is currently looking at colleges that have that major, but who knows, my 23 y.o. son changed his mind at the last minute to a totally different field. From sports physical therapist to a teacher! But, he is happy, that is all that matters. Graduated magna kum lata too! Sure I didn't spell that right, but got to go to work now. Catch you all later.

The sun sets too quick now with the time change.
