Good morning/afternoon everyone. It has been so difficult to really be on-line recently - too many things going on. And with it being so cold just looking at the weather on Bonaire makes me feel warmer. Of course, just to rub it in - 5 days and a wakeup. This time next week and I'll be waking up to WARMTH!!!!!!!!!

1

Have a great day everyone. Be good and be safe.

Mara

LaDonna, that's too cold! If it was 3F here we'd shut down everthing. lol (Of course, we shut down if we get snowflakes!)

Mara, you lucky, lucky lady. lol Be sure and be a cam star while there. :-)

The fish aren't playing nice this morning, so nothing to post. Later all!

Hi Stan,

Rotterdam was BUSY! We had a full agenda every day (even had a full afternoon of meetings the morning we got there) BUT I did manage to get to 2 new restaurants while we were there. We went to the Italian place near Centraal Station and to a Salmon house near or in Capelle. The company has three office locations in the area. One in Rotterdam, just across the street from the Hilton, and two in Capelle. On Saturday we all went to Brussels. What a great time we had - and we managed to make it there when they had their SinterKlaas parade. It ended at the Grand Palace and it was just so neat. Thanks again for all of your help and information. I wish I had more time to explore the area. This was my third trip to Rotterdam and I still haven't seen that much of the city. Well - I did get to the Holland Casino this time and watch my co-worker lose some money.

Now off to the next adventure - BONAIRE! Hurray. This could be me sitting on the beach reading.

1 Or not...

Looks like a big fish in the background with a school of something near 'Willy'.

Have a great day - I'm off to the kitchen for more baking. 2 batches of shortbreads done, only about 4 more batches to do - this week!! LOL

Hi Everyone,

Thought I was done baking and found myself short coffee cakes, so I baked two more this morning.
Now I am done.

Nothing on the cams this morning, but looks like a great day in Bonaire! Wish I was there today. Very busy on the homefront, as is everyone these days.

Kathy, did your meds kick in yet? Hubby found out his cold was a sinus infection. I'm avoiding him like the plaque! Don't want it at all. It's been three weeks now!

Does anyone know if the u/w art show in under the water, why are pictures still on beach? I don't get it. Inquiring minds want to know.

This was the only fish I could find.

Hi Debbie. :-) Yes, they finally kicked in and I feel "almost" normal most of the time, better every day.

I think the art is scaring the fish away!!! Nah, but they sure are scarce these days.

Hi Mara,

You will be seeing lots of fishes real soon. :-)
February 9th for my trip is a long way away from 5 days and a wake-up. Enjoy your trip. Hope to see you on the cams! Got to go do housework that hasn't got done due to holiday baking. Have fun camming.

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By Marabeth Owens (Experienced BonaireTalker - Post #443) on Thursday, December 16, 2004 - 3:22 pm:     Edit PostPrint Post

Thanks Mary - you might see myself, and Pete and kiddies on the cams - and maybe the following week a few others. I have a few "surprises" if the water does what I am hoping it does ;-)

But just think about it this way Mary - while you are 5 days and a wake-up away I am going to be having MAJOR PBD!

Housework for me must wait until tomorrow - work and a girls night is getting in the way today/tonight.

Now I can get the last of the BT Christmas cards finished and in the mail :-) :-)

No more baking until next week too :-) :-)

Check in a little later - have to go buy some disposable cookie containers!! :-) :-)

Hi Kathy,

Maybe Jake is putting that thingie he was going to pick up for the cams, said it would black out when he installed it. Just a guess?

Hi Debbie,
Usually when they go offline they go to a blue shade. But ya never know! Could have been a bird on the cam or something. lol A few months back that did happen!

Wah, still no fish for me.

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By Debbie Babcock (Experienced BonaireTalker - Post #658) on Thursday, December 16, 2004 - 4:45 pm:     Edit PostPrint Post

Hmmm, blue shade. Have to remember that. When you said a bird on the cam I had this vision of a bird spread eagle over the lense! LOL Then it dawned on me that it might be just sitting on top and cause it to black out or blue out! He He He.

I think I need a drink or two, too much work and no play!

Bill: Glad to hear you're making progress with your cookies and cards! Got mine all baked finally and cards sent as well.

What ever this stuff is going around ya'll can have it back. I noticed it has traveled from Canada to Southeast Texas. (We live just a hundred miles north of Houston.) Went to the doctor today and he said to treat the symptoms. Hope I get over it before Dave comes home in 27 days. Night everyone. Andy
