Good Morning John and Everyone!
Let's hope it is a beautiful day!1

Today Joel, myself and Quinn are going up to celebrate Joel's dad's bday. And my parents and sister are coming home from Cuba. They are probably at the airport as we speak.

Hi Gwen, You will absolutely LOVE Bonaire!! Lion's Dive is walking distance to town- about 10 min (if I can remember but someone might clarify that). There is shore diving right in front of the resort but if you want to get to the other sites around the island, you will have to have a car. You will get bored diving in one site all the time. Besides, there are a lot of land based things to see and a car makes it much easier. It's very hot walking around in the beating sun especially for those of us not used to it. Enjoy!!

OOPS, sorry, about the midwife, you might want to contact Linda Richter who is one of the moderators of this site. She might have some information. If you scroll down to the bottom of this page and click on "Contact", it will bring up the names and contact her there. Good Luck.

Good Almost Afternoon Everyone,

I had to work this morning and woke up to a flat tire on by car. AUGH!! It was below freezing too, had to get the old compressor out, fill it up and go to auto shop. It was a little piece of sheet metal that did it! Have no idea where that came from, but fixed, done work, and back home.

Yes, I agree, the fish seem to be on strike! Cold and sunny here today. Got to start house chores.
See ya later, gals and guys.

Can anyone tell me what the local festivities are for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day in Bonaire? We are arriving for our first trip to Bonaire on Dec. 30 and staying at Lions Dive. Will that be close to anything that is planned for the holiday since we didn't rent a car yet. Wanted to wait until after the holidays to do that. Thanks for the info. Can't wait to snorkle in warm water. It's 40 in New Jersey.

Hey Gwenn...
I have been in Bonaire for the last 2 New Years.. There were more fire works in Bonaire then on any day in the last year in Iraq! Guess what it's not like July 4th in the states. The fire works are coming from EVERYWHERE... and continue all night. It's quite a festive event to say the least. Even the fish head for the high seas for at least a week after this evening of debauchery.
