Had great difficulties yesterday to get online here at BT. Looking at the messages I was the only one???

Mary, note from yesterday: I am honored by the sign, but can't find it in the archives. Anyway... welcome back.

Good Morning Stan and everyone! It is a rainy day so far. I am going to my parents place, I would love to check in there but the connection is very slow.

I wish you all a great day!

Good morning Stan, Eileen, and everyone who comes in later. :-) Rainy day here, too, Eileen. Was 85 yesterday and by Friday the low will be 30. So I guess today will be the storm that changes it all.

Hi Stan, Eileen and Kathy,

Coffee and Tea are served. :-)

I am officially taking a day off of leaf patrol, think I got them all for a while. Need to get back to other things, like camming.

Would like to be where this couple is right now!

Good morning Debbie, Kathy, Ellen and Stan - and all others that come in throughout the day.

And just one poor soul looking for some coffee. Well I am happy to report that not only have I voted, I actually made it in to work before 8AM. I got in line at 6AM, polls opened at 7AM and I was out of the door by 7:15. I arrived at work (22 miles away - and most of it major Atlanta Hwy) in 30 minutes. Yeah - life's good.

Hi Everyone!!!

Good eyes Mara - the second sign that Dirk is holding up says
Hi
Stan/
Sarge

The first sign said hi Sjossss

And of course I was holding up Kelly's sign!!

BTW - the weather was very wild last week on Bonaire - from a wind reversal, to several thunderstorms and a very rainy half day on Sunday. Even Bob at Wanndive commented on how strange the weather was last week. Looks like some of the rain is still left over for today too!!!

On a good note - because of the wind reversal - we did some shore dives on the east side. They were great - except the wind reversed to the right direction when we were underwater during the second dive. Had to get out with waves crashing over our heads. Needless to say - we did a bit of rolling around in the surf!!!LOL!!

Mara - hope those stitches hold - how are you feeling? - did the surgery do the trick?

Annie B - how are you feeling?

Hi everyone,
Looks pretty desolate on the beach today. Where's the sun? I voted three weeks ago by absentee ballot. No waiting at the polls! Feels good to have voted. Later I've got to watch the election broadcasts.
Stan, are you gonna make your deadline? I'm working feverishly - can't wait to get this off my plate. Mara, good luck with the stitches. Not being able to laugh is the worst punishment.
Margarita

Mary,

It's interesting because when we were in Bonaire last New Years time frame we had the wind reversals too - OMG. I was certifying a 12 year old girl and I figured for day 2 of diving that we'd do Pink Beach - you know, easy entry. I was the last one to gear up and my stepdaughter came over and said - "Mara, you're not going to like this." I thought she was kidding - once I crossed the crest of the hill the waves were HUGE! Needless to say we didn't do any day 2 diving for certification there but a few of the more "experienced" ones made it in and did the dive.

This is from back then and you can see that even then there were a few "breakers". I know, hard to believe or imagine but it was tough shore diving that week.

As for the stitches...they are actually bothering me a lot today but I think this will solve a good part of the problems, at least I hope it will. Now if I could sell my business I would say that the rest of the problems would solve themselves. hehehe

Mara

Hi Mary B!!! You joined BT when I was away on the island - so I will add my welcome now!!! It is going to get confusing with so many Marys.

Good luck with the job!!

I think the truck is picking up all of the parts and pieces that were taken down. What you do not see on the cams is that there was a bandstand that was between the south beach and north beach cams - I think that went down today as well.

Boy do I miss the sunsets!!!sunset

As an FYI - the party Sunday was an anniversary party for Telbo employees and family. I have never seen so many tables set up on the beach there - is was very hard to walk around to get to the dive shop!!

Busy night for us again, Mr. Quinn will probably cut the other tooth very soon. Hopefully!

Beautiful sunset, I like the soft colours too. Good luck Mary B!

Well, I'm half-way there! Can't do direct from Phoenix, so I stopped mid-point in Miami. I picked a hotel on the west side of town to be away from the noise and bustle. Our US friends will appreciate the irony: I'm *right* next to the Miami-Dade Elections Office, and it's a mess! Of all the freakin' places to stay on Election Day.... at least I missed the hookers and druggies this time, but I'm not sure it's an improvement. 4 years ago I wanted to slap everyone across the street here. Repeatedly.

Did anyone post the "Fisher-Price Voting Machine" pix?

Hoping this isn't an omen of disasters to come.

Boy, did I miss a lot today! Mary M. glad you had a good time on Bon, and got to dive the east side!

Mara, are the stiches itchin'?

Mary (the other one) good luck with the job interview.

Stan, hang on. My husband is in Stuart Florida, and he said that every corner is filled with folks with signs...guess they don't want to pull another "chad" (sorry Floridians, had to say it). And I got you beat, it takes even LONGER to get to Bon from California! Ha!

Where's Eileen tonight???

Hi to everyone else! Have no idea if anyone is still there, but here is an interesting one I hope...oh, and Annie, thanks for the pano!

Thanks again for calling, I needed the laugh;o)
Have they found the missing ballots yet?
