Cheryl

The thing you are seeing is a great marsepelami. Often seen at a depth of about 60-80ft. So, therefore seen many times at the cam.

or......

It is a USO. An Unidentified Sinking Object.
Well, haven't got a clue myself. Just kidding around (it's late out here)

:-)

Cheryl, I think it's parrotfish poop. ;) Maybe they're high and it's floating down. There are sure a lot of them in that area.

OK, now that I've got time, where are all the fish? lol

Glad to know I'm not the only one without a clue -- I choose to believe it's parrotfish poop. Raining here, and I'm making hash marks on the wall -- 26 days to go! :-)

Hey all,
Just a wild gues at the USO,... couldn't it be the sun reflecting on some divers bubbles ? ? Usualy when you get a couple of divers in the picture the same seems to happen with there bubbles.
Either something like that or it really is a UBO (Unidentified Bubbly Object). But what the h... even it it was a great white, it still couldn't keep me away ;-).
Greetz to all
Jeroen

Jeroen, I thought it was going to be divers, but all I saw were the bubbles. Phantom Divers! Any ghost stories to tell about that wreck?

The ReefCam is mounted in approximately 60 feet of depth on a private mooring located due west of the pier at Eden Beach (the one you see on the South Beach cam), facing the wreck of the yacht Bakanal.

(from the website)

Hi Mitch, you lucky dog. lol The u/w cam is in front of Eden Resort and Bongos. Just off the pier. You can just follow the cables down to it. Not far out at all.

There have been a couple of night divers I've seen on the cams...most of the action is around the pier for night divers from what I gathered when I was there in August...and a few frogfish along the rocks

Thanks again to all.
