Good Morning all, Nice to meet you, I am new here. Looks like some of you are leaving for the island soon. I am leaving Saturday the 23rd for my 2nd trip there .

Hi Stan, Mara. Welcome to BT, Ty. Yes, there are some of us going, some are already there, and of course, there are some of us wishing we were there! The later would be me. I got PBD bad today.

My friends went for the first time in 2002 and i went with them in 2003 we have decided that this will be an annual trip. we figured we cant possibly see everything there unless we go every year.
|
By Marabeth Owens (Experienced BonaireTalker - Post #250) on Monday, October 18, 2004 - 7:51 am: |
Ty - you are a man after my own heart. I am happy to report that this has become an annual trip for myself and for others as well. First trip was in 1998 and I've been every year (sometimes 2 or 3 times in the year) since then.

That sounds great Elvira. And I believe I have been there. Does it have a little courtyard in front of the front door and it is near an ice cream shop too? If that's the place I've had lunch there but Pete and I (and maybe Boy) would love to meet you there sometime. We'll make a plan...

The WebCams have not locked up, but the connection that the WebCams server uses between Miami, Curacao, and Bonaire appears to be suffering from 80% packet loss (in non-geek speak imagine speaking with someone on the phone and only hearing 2 out of every 10 syllables - not good).

Hello Everyone!

Only hearing 2 out of every 10 syllables - that's like talking to my husband because that's all he hears. Maybe he's suffering from an 80% packet loss. Of course if he would go to the ear doctor we MIGHT get that taken care of... GRRR!
|
By Stan Eker (BonaireTalker - Post #44) on Monday, October 18, 2004 - 11:26 am: |
Marabeth, I don't think a doctor can help as it's an irreversible condition called MARRIAGE. I can hear 99%+ of friend's conversations, but they only hear 50% of each other (or less). Something about a ring on your finger appears to constrict blood to the brain.....
