Alrighty, who's responsible for the tooth jinx??

I just came back from the dentist - the root of a root-canalled, capped tooth cracked. I have to go back tomorrow and get the darn thing yanked.

This really stinks... but I will not let it keep me from enjoying Bonaire!!!

Beautiful sunset: f

Now see, Dilly, because I saw a pano I thought it was Annie. Sorry! It was a good one!

PS - I'll never have another root canal. Had 2 on one tooth, then last year ended up in the hospital because it was infected AGAIN (it was sitting in my sinus - ack!). They wanted to do a 3rd root canal on that tooth. HAH! Had it surgically extracted and threw about 2k worth of stuff (a bridge, two crowns) in the garbage. I can now not chew steak on my right side, but hey, no more toothache EVER up there. lol

Yikes Kathy! I had a root canal years ago and the dentist broke the file in my tooth, it is still there 30 years later! LOL! Every time I go to a new dentist they want to know why this metal file is in the root of my tooth. Needless to say I never went back to that dentist!

No, thank heavens! :D

It's one of 2 anchoring a 3-point bridge in the back, but its the furthest back one too.

So, instead of
|_|_|_|

in the back, I'll have
___
|_|
but that's better than
____
|_| |

I suppose!

Still a bummer, but I'm glad I caught it now, and the dentist could set up the appointment herself, and with the oral surgeon, on such short notice.

It's all complicated by my having had my hip replacement surgery recently, which means even for teeth cleanings I'm supposed to take massive doses of amoxicillin just before seeing the dentist to prevent infection (I don't really understand how mouth infections go straight to healing hip joint replacements, but they do).

Susan. Don't talk to me about dentists, I have had enough treatment in the last six months to last a lifetime. Now he tells me I have to go every three months and pay for private treatment as the NHS only covers six monthly visits here. I swear that regular visits ruin your teeth. Judging by the comments here, I will never agree to having root canal work. Good luck tomorrow gal. Annie B.

I'll have one of these please.

Hey Lisa Amidei, Yes I knew I was getting my picture taken [10-6-04]while I was photographing at the webcam. Scroll up two frames and you can see me with John Stiggard at the BarCam, haming it up.
The underwater pix was taken only minutes after Stig lost his UW camera.
