Sherry,

I hope they figure out what's wrong with your daughter soon! Not knowing must be so hard!

Tom, tiaras for both Geoffrey and I? How could we NOT want one! Cool! Thanks, buddy!

I'm hankering to do that wild-side diving, but Geoffrey is still a bit worried that the climb back up into the boat may be a bit too much if the sea is very rough. As much as I'd like to pooh-pooh this, he has about 30 years more diving experience than I, much of it up here in New England, so I must admit he knows best. (But it's killing me! :-))

He wants to talk to Larry about his concerns, and see how calm the granted notoriously calm in October "wildside" is when we get there, before committing to it. I'm hoping Larry can assuage his fears, and we can all do this thing.

Susan

Susan - I talked to Larry about diving with him in July and he sounds like he will take care of any divers that want to try it. He stated that he has had younger teens and grandmas dive with him and had no problems - so he may be able to help Geoffrey with his worries. Larry is quite a character and diving with him seems like it would be fun. I met him at Liz and Ed's open house.

BTW - Liz and Ed are on the island now and I have not seen them show up in front of the cams yet. No diving for them right now - Liz's tumor has grown - she will schedule surgery to get out when she gets back.

Susan, You folks are now officially part of the "Tiara Divers 2004 Tour" first public show is being planned for mmmmmm the 11th of October.

Evaluating every dive is one of the reasons Geoffrey has been diving for so many years.

Freddie, that is just... disturbing. :-)
Tom, thanks - I think! :-)

I know Geoffrey knows his stuff, I just hate it when he makes sense like that! :-) I'm a bit of a risk taker by nature but I need to remember that there's a bit of metal lodged in my bone that only recently got put there, so it may not be as firmly implanted as I would like to think...*sigh* It really stinks getting to be an old fart...but it's better than the alternative!

Freddie - :-)

Susan, is better to be on the safe side!

Oh, poor Liz! I'm sorry to hear that, and hope, as long as the surgery is necessary, that she comes out painfree and happy, and able to go on with her life!

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By Mary Mueller (Supreme BonaireTalker - Post #3249) on Friday, October 1, 2004 - 3:49 pm:     Edit PostPrint Post

Suan - right now she wants the tumor gone - since it is limiting her ability to function on a level that she would like to function. She gets migraine headaches, is tired and very dizzy most of the time. So her hope is that after the surgery she will be able to go on with her life!

Get Geoffrey to talk to Larry - but as with any dives always make sure that you are comfortable before you attempt it and you need to take care of that new implant. Can't wait to see you with the guys in the tiaras!!

Liz and Ed stopped by this morning and took a little breather in the Airco. She is running around doing lots of errands despite the tumor. And Ed is always there to lend a steady hand. I'm sure you all will be seeing them soon on the cams.
