Good Morning Jos,

It's not quite Monday here in NYC and thanks for the coffee. I'll have mine after I wake up tomorrow. May I have a de-caf espresso and a scone please?

The weather should be in the low 70's with no rain. What a relief!

Hello and good morning... Not so good for me, being back from Bonaire But now I have at least some connection and trying to catch up with all the threads. I did miss all of you to chat with, but being on the island made it a bearable...lol.

I did not make it anymore to the webcam... The day we decided to go, the reefcam was out. But we really did have a good time. Need also to catch up with Ivan's devastation. And preparing a trip report....

Good morning Jos, Mary, Stan and Martine.
Thanks for the coffee, but I think I need something to calm down. Maybe some strong tea...?

Torsten had an bike accident yesterday and had to go to the hospital. He has bursted his eyebrow broken one ridge, and broken his zygomatic bone and a lot of bruises. Now he talks with the anaesthetist due to an operation, he told me on the telephone.
It is difficult for me to keep a level head. But it helps a little to write it down.

Take care,
Ilona

Did read all the threads about Ivan... It sure was an adventure... I will tell more in the trip report. I'm very sorry to hear that Ivan did a lot of damage elsewhere, though. Hope that everyone is now safe and can start again with rebuilding their lives after Ivan.... My thoughts are with everyone who is in need.

Jake and Linda, glad that everything is alright with you guys as well! Jake, I can imagine it was hard not to be with your family during Ivan.

Martine, PBD is very hard, especially with the current weather over here... grayish, raining and very cold compared to Bonaire And coping with the time difference is also hard.

Trying to decide what to wear today...Ivan seems to have brought fall. Since last Thursday it's been much cooler and windier. Sigh. Not time for the winter closet, but the summer clothes don't work, either. Not many in between clothes. Anyway, time to get ready for work for me. See ya'll later!

Well good morning all.

First Ilona - please send Torsten all of our well wishes for a speedy and healthy recovery from the bike accident. We will send special prayers.

And it certainly looks like a glorious day on the island and peeking my head back to look out of my window at work it looks like a beautiful and crisp morning in Atlanta. At least Ivan seemed to blow away some of the smog and now I can see the city from my window.

Have a wonderful day every one.

Mara

Oh - can someone tell me how to include a picture with my post? Many thanks.

Hi Mara, welcome to BT (I did not 'met' you on earlier occasions). You can find how to post pics in the bar below, under formatting.
But it's rather easy... first save the capture from the webcam image, then type \ image { name of the file } Leaving out all the spaces. Then if you post the message it will ask if you can include the file and it will load

Looks like it's busy at Bongo's

Time for me to do some shopping, nothing in the house after the vacation... Need to go in the rain

Hello BT'ers,

I had a long lunch break and visited Torsten.
He looks so sadly. :-( Poor thing.
He is full of pain. One eye is nearly closed due to the swelling. He lost his glasses but could not wear them anyway cause of the damage of his cheek and ear. But - he had blessing in disguise.
He did not lost his eye and ear. They sewed the eyebrow and ear. But there is still the problem with his zygomatic bone. Operation or not? There are two nerves (eye and face) who could be injured. And after all you will have brackets under your face skin. It is not easy to decide.

Thanks a lot for your sympathies. I will print this thread and bring it to the hospital. I think, that brings him a smile on his face.

Glad, that other things are normal: Hello Sarge :-)

Good morning all!

It's now 20 days until I'll be on Bonaire again for the 7th time (since 2000). I am now, officially, STOKED!

I thought I'd mention to some of the newcomers: the only images that should be posted in this topic (Bonaire WebCams) are ones from the cams. That's one of the very few rules here. Community Chat is a great place for other gifs and jpgs though.

By the way, in about 3 weeks time, keep your eyes peeled for 3 lovely ladies wearing matching purple hat-bandana-doo-rag hats (http://www.billibandana.com/photos/bb-fern-purp.jpg). Darlene Ellis, Denise Kacavas and I will be posing for you. There will be a sign too - I can't remember the exact words, but we'll be identifying ourselves.

These people are in no hurry this morning...

Oh Ilona, poor Torsten! It's good he didn't damage his eye, but that's a nasty bone to break. I hope things work out for him! If he hasn't been operated on before, tell him it isn't as scary as he might think (I had my hip replaced 3 months ago, I know!) and if that's what it will take to fix everything, he should consider it well!

Good Evening! Awesome photos today! I like the diver taking a photo of the cams:-)!

John, can't wait for a Starbucks from Bongo's:-).

I do not know how much I will be on tonight, Quinn has been playing the piano and gets upset if we are not playing with him:-). It is his toy of the moment right now. Once he gets bored, we'll hide it and bring it out in a few days and he thinks he has a new toy. Jos, have you tried that one on your kids? If so, how long does the trick last?
