Whew, back again! My neighbours came over for a visit too, Janice left and now Mr. Quinn is sleeping:-).

Congratulations Mary to Dirk! I am jealous of your trip, no kids!!!. I love your hardwood floor story:-).

Cynde, no camera today:-(, Joel has it for the field, but no to worry there will be some photos:-). He is doing the swimming motion, or the butt goes in the air high and then boom! Down it goes!

Elvira, I am glad to hear that Rafa is OK.

Elvira - I do have to work sometime! Also we are in the middle of some of Ivan's leftovers - lights are flickering - tornado warnings are being announced - I bit scary to watch out of my office window.

Eileen - your description of his attempts brings back memories!

I'll come join you guys in the chairs! Elvira - glad to hear the Rafa is still okay - but I know it is frustrating living without power!

Hey Dilly, I lived in Puerto Rico as a baby - until I was 4. Don't remember a lot of it, but it looks lovely on the old reel to reels - Christmas Eve on the beach and all. I think I have island in my blood, too. :-) Definitely need to live closer to the sea.

Loved the blue. lol

my roots are from an island Dilly, i stayed there a lot (also eastern europe, czech republic, also family).
the island is called terschelling, it's an island with a rich culture and own language. my grandma is one of the last who speaks the language. it's a mix between dutch, friesch(nothern dutch language) english and the scandinavian languages.

Wietse, is it too late with the ex girlfriend on Bonaire? (forgive me if that's hurtful)

PBD indeed, BIG PBD, and I've been stopped from booking the next vacation waiting for all these hurricanes to pass! (that sounds selfish, but I swear I feel like I've lived them all, tracking them constantly, then especially with Ivan coming to my front door!)

Will check back before bed, maybe that party will go somewhere at Bongos. :-)

she lives in holland, and we're friends now(hope she will come back). and no, it's not hurtfull, i accept things(no matter what) fast. but she is special, a persionality which cant't compare to somebody else (i think rigt now). and her family became my family (loss of an aunt on curacao when i was there, and i helped with a lot of things then, it was my job in holland then). they became my family and i became theirs, no matter what.
when i was at curacao i was the only white guy in the neighberhood, and it wasn't a good neighberhood. they accepted me, and helped me with some bad guys who were thinking i was rich...
on bonaire everybody says hi to eachother, same mentuality as on terschelling... that's what i like!

yes eileen, it's beautiful over there. shame there was a big fire this summer at a national park over there.
Terschelling has got the most beautiful beaches of holland. about 200 meters white beach to the sea.
by the way, my fist name comes from terschelling is spelled the same way they do over there.
