I think the only good news about Ivan will be when the storm has finally disappeared.

Jos, Quinn will do all the typing for me! Is Alexander truly mobile now? We had to buy Quinn pyjamas for 24month olds. They are still too big. Some of his pants are becoming shorts. The waist is fine but the legs are just growing. He will be taller than Joel and I in a few months.:-) Quinn is getting lots of blonde hair now, so he looks bald in photos. Like his Daddy:-).

Eileen ,
Just don't let him drewl over the keyboard:-)
( quinn I mean ofcourse)

WARNING!!! no jokes about going bald , or I will tell Joel !
Some times I am tempted to shave-off my hair ( it's just one foot long!!!) and see what my bald head looks like and what will grow back on it :-)
But then again , just tempted, LOL.

Alexander is about to be truly mobile, yesterday he took his first step from standing free. Then smacked to the floor again , so there is still a long road to travel .He 's theething like crazy at the moment, but it doesn't seem to bother him that much.

We've seen that too the pyama thing , funny, from just a little to short till "not acceptable no more"LOL".

Nicole and I decided that we now accept the fact that his first audible word is not going to be "Mama" or "Papa" , he got as close as "Dada".
No ., instead he has a particular liking for the word "etuh" which is fonetic for "eten" which is dutch for "food" or "eating", LOL

I love these sun stripes !!Just imagine what suntan you would get from it :-)
sunstripe

have a nice weekend everybody :-)

Alexander knows his priorities! Food first, mama and papa second. Seems fair. Has Amber played hairdresser yet? (I am having flashbacks as when I was young.) Has she wanted to give you a haircut:-)? Have a great weekend Jos!

I'm off to my chiro, get some formula for Quinn:-). Bye for now.

Buenos Dias Stan, Eileen, Jos and Bill!!! :-)

Jos, go for it shave it!! When are we going to see an update pic on your profile? Like to see the baby! Your daughter is just beautiful.

Eileen, I was wondering where you had been and I thought maybe I missed something and I guess I did. Glad your visit w/your parents went well. Give Quinn a kiss.

I am wondering how Annie is doing - I am sure she is having a great time and missing us :-)

I guess Kathy was without power since we didn't hear from her last night. Hope she is ok. As well as Bill and Donna.

It took me 1hr & 1/2 to get home when it usually takes me 45 minutes - traffic was horrible with the rain and wind. The wind was blowing so hard that sometimes I felt it was going to pick my car and just blow me away. It is still raining with little wind but hopefully this all we will get. We have lots of people without power, trees down and flooding.

Y'all have a wonderful day and Jos enjoy your weekend. Bill and Mrs. Turtle enjoy your boat ride. Keep smiling :-) :-)

Starbucks coffee is on and ready.

It is wet here, but the rain has stopped. We found that our new roof (a year old) leaked and the contractor came by and plugged the leak.

I passed a hug and a kiss for you Elvira! Quinn's sleeping, I hope he does a 2 hour nap so I can get laundry done, I leave for a night and it looks like something exploded here at home.

Elvira I hope everyone is OK where you live, and your son Rafa. Greta, and anyone else with families in the S. US, I hope everyone is OK.

Happy 1st birthday to your niece Superturtle!

Hello Everyone!!

Eileen great to have you on board all day long - its been a long time since you have been able to do that during the week!

Elvira - glad to see you made it home okay - how is Rafa doing - still without power?

Bill have a great time on the boat this weekend!

Jos - go ahead and shave it off - my hubby keeps hair about 1/4 inch long since the hair started to recede and a bald spot showed up on top of his head - I think it looks much better shorter or bald!

Stan - I think we need Goof luck with Ivan!!LOL!!

Good morning everyone... thank you for the coffee :P needed desperately.

Well at last it is Friday.. Finally the weekend!
Going to do some diving in the Great Lakes this weekend - another cold water dive ..
But hey a Dive is a Dive!... its just a bitter pill to swallow this weekend as all of my friends are heading to Bonaire - they should arrive at the Plaza tomorrow night. I would give anything to go, but you just cant put parenting on hold :P lol.... and of coerce they all keep calling me to remind me they are going. little buggers :P.

Still waiting to here from my in-laws - they live in Marianna Florida ( just west of Panama City) they said they where going to drive north to Tennessee ( that was Tuesday) - still have not heard from them

Well I hope you all have a awesome weekend.
Take care and thanks for the coffee

Hi all! Ivan wasn't so terrible, here, thank goodness. Winds never got over 50 and they stayed high. Trees down, power was out until just now, and the cable is out (BIG wah!), and that's the worst of it in my area. Dial up is for the birds. It's definitely not for the cams! See ya'll when the cable is back. Oh, my father in law in Panana City made it through just fine. He said it was the tornadoes that caused so much grief there. Hope everyone's loved ones are ok!

Wieste - you almost have it - but your brackets are wring use {}. Also to save you some typing - you don to meed to type in the whole string of where the picture file is - just the name of the picture will do - so you can find it when searching to attach it.

Clueless as to who the romantic couple was - maybe they will sow up and tell us.
That reminds - there has not been a marriage proposal in a while!

Hey all - don't know if I told you the good news yet - Dirk passed his OW test and will be doing his cert dives at the quarry next week. Janice - quick get the camera - we want pics!!!

Both of mine had to learn how to crawl on hardwood floors - which meant no cushion when they fell on their face - they learn how to do it pretty quickly - but the knees where always a bit tender!! Maybe that is why they learned to walk fast - both were walking by 9 months.

Cynde - can't wait - I know that it is bound to happen. I keep telling Dirk that I like to go slow - so I will be mad at him if he is into the speed diving!

Janet - too funny - what a great idea - have a sentry at Bongos that keeps us posted on who is going in and what they are up to!
BTW - you get on wireless at Bongos - so all they have to do have a laptop with a wireless connection and they can post for us!

Well Mary, that's the solution! In fact if anyone would like to sponsor me, I'd be happy to station myself there most days purely in the interst of service to my fellow BTalkers. Send your contributions to janet @ thebeach.com}.

Mary - CONGRATULATIONS TO DIRK!! How exciting and going to Bonaire again and alone :-)

Cynde, muchas gracias.

I think the couple is the same on the pic posted by Leigh Ann (10:38) but don't know who they are. Maybe some one will tell us.

Hey All!

The mystery of who all those pics are is solved. It was me and my lovely wife Beth!
We spend so much time watching the cams that we had to spend some "quality time" down there...
We're home now, bracing for Jeanne in Jax, FL. We had the best time and hated to leave (as always). We'll be back soon!
