Y'know, I think that big thing could be the same horse-eye jack that Linda helped identify about 2 weeks ago. When we were there in early August, there was just the one, slowly circling the wreck and out into deeper water, making the schooling fish around the wreck scatter like flies when it would approach. It did have a yellow tail like in my fish ID book (the one I kept seeing there).

HI Kathy!! That tank on the side is a second tank that I use when doing long/deeper dives. I get down to a certain psi on my primary tank( on my back) and then I use the second tank on the side. It has a reg on it and I just switch over. That way I can stay down a little longer without running out of air And not that I use much air (I always have plenty left over) but one does use a little more at 200 feet, and then there is the decompression time . Have to allow for all that....

Yep. That looks like a horse eye jack. There's a school of dozens of them not far from the ReefCam (under the yachts moored to the north).

Hi all! Great captures everyone! Jake, thanks for the update, and it is soooo cool that Sarge has decided to lay eggs on the mooring block and has taken up residence! I still long to see Charlotte, and hope she faired OK, but it's nice to see someone taking her home

Well. I , for one am a bit concerned about any relative of the Damelfish family taking up residence at the Reef Cam. We have been brutally assaulted by the little meanies!! Such creatures should be banned from the cams!! So say I!!!!!! m
