Morning Eileen, and thanks for latest Quinn's pics. Will you try spinaches ???
Beautiful weather indeed on Bonaire, while actually Ivan is devastating poor Jamaica http://www.goes.noaa.gov/HURRLOOPS/huirloop.html
Must be horrible over there... OMG !
JP is at our astronomy club and I remained home due to "home work" to do. Yikes.
Have a nice saturday, I am kust lurking around...

Good Morning Martine! We will try spinach I am sure eventually. We have to get through peas today first. You never know, Quinn might like them!

Our neighbours are from Jamaica, I hope their families are safe.

Good morning!
1

I did like how the weather channel described how Ivan's eye never came ashore on Jamaica:
"Ivan remained offshore and paralleled the southern coastline of Jamaica (almost like a barricade was in place along the shoreline). The center is now just over 70 miles away from Montego Bay, Jamaica."

Continued good thoughts for the rest in the path!

Good morning.

Have some Starbucks coffee.

I will be going through Montego Bay at the end of the month. Jamaica is really taking a hit. Our waitress at dinner last night was from Jamaica and could not get through to her family on the island.

Martine, have you ever tried the Paris Starbucks?

Good morning everyone! At work now and keep on thinking about poor Jamaica. Reading different threads on stormcarib.com and other sites and I just simply can't imagine.

It's looking like a glorious day in Bonaire. Now who has the coffee? I need a few cups.

Mara

Hi John,
Will you believe me, but I thought of you while in UK, at Oxford, exactly ... I saw a Starbucks coffee shop and I just took a picture of it. I didn't even tried yet, but maybe they were serving Starbucks for breakfast, who knows ?
Oops, where are my manners... hi Kathy and Marabeth :o)

Hi Martine...I was trying to figure out how to put one pic on top of another (layers) to compare the wreck, as you mentioned above. I can't do it! lol Oh well, back to my regular Saturday morning housework. :-)

Oh, we should all send the guy cleaning the beach a thank you card. He's made progress!

Hello Everyone!

We got some news from my neighbours. Their fruits are all down, her mom's house is standing but her grandmother's roof blew off. And grandmother is refusing to leave the house! But everyone is safe and sound from where they live. I hope more good news comes in. I am glad the eye stayed offshore.

I went out the morning with a fellow named Stewart ? from NJ from the Sand$ pier. He wanted to see if the yellow seahorse was still in place. We found it in 60ft near where he usually is. The vis was down a bit below 30ft and lousy in the shallows. One of these days I am going to try for the underwater cam, but will have to sneak into the water unless I can find a DB.

The expected high seas haven't showed up as of noon. The dive boats aren't going out today because of the Harbor Master, but plenty of the private boats are going back to their moorings.

Hi All! Great captures. Thanks for the updates from those on island! Barbara, have fun! Oh, and Michael said "go for it" so we need to chat:-)

Kathy, I am NOT happy about another El Nino...the one in 1983 wiped out most of the kelp on the Southern California coast, and I really would hate to see it come up our way and mess things up again...water now at the surface is about 70, 71F, pretty much unheard of unless...El Nino...:-(

Hi Cynde, did NOT know that about an El Nino...have been meaning to look up what others have been like all day and haven't yet. The do say it is a weak one!

Felt the need to fix the tilt again. :-) They did a good job on the beach today...just a little more, bring the chairs back, and adjust the cams and all will be right with the Bonaire world again. :-)

We've had a busy afternoon, Joel painted the kitchen :-) and I looked after Quinn, he is rolling around and making attempts at crawling (a little early in my opinion!!). Now Quinn is in bed and I just read that Ivan is aiming for the Caymans :-(. Another El Nino:-(. The weather is funny as it is nowadays.

Glad you had a great day Barbara! Hi Janice!
