Good morning all,
I thought someone would have opened a new thread...
I am just waking up ( just ask Annie the reason ). I wished I could have slept more, but I leave close to a school and this morning it returned to a farmyard :o) It was the first day of school after summer vacation.
I won't be home today : lunch with my Mom and visit to my homeopath in the afternoon, so I catch you later.
cafe is served. Have a nice day.

Good Morning Martine and others who follow.

I thank you for the coffee.

Our elementary and kindergarten schools started their sessions yesterday. All the little children looking happy and running around full of energy, all the while, many of the Mothers and Fathers look on with sad faces.

Martine, I like your description of school grounds resembling a "farmyard". Have you ever noticed that when very young children are engaged in team sports, especially soccer, they all seem to forget their team assignments and follow the ball around the field, much like chickens running after the farmer if he/she is spreading their feed. No competition, no belonging to a team, it is PLAYTIME, everybody just runs around chasing the ball!!! It is beautiful:-{)}

I am going to my parents place today, finally going to test out that Scuba gear:-). No wetsuit, doesn't fit LOL! Next year!

Good Morning / Afternoon, Friends here now, those already gone for the day, and those still to come!! :-) :-)

Tim horton's coffee is brewed and ready - I'm having a double dose myself!! :-)

Body wants to sleep, but brain keeps on working out wiring problems. :-( Annie, I think there's enough chairs to share, so I'll join you under the palm :-) :-)

palm

Have only had the opportunity to 'lurk' the last little while, the wiring job I'm doing has turned from a labour of love into a pain in the ... Yass!! I figure I'll be working at it steady for at least another month and a half.

No pay, but satisfaction in seeing it get done :-) :-)

Enjoy the day, everyone - bright and sunny here .... and I'll be stuck in a basement again!! Oh well It's my own doing!! :-) :-)

:-) Bill :-)

I am not a fan of fish soup.

My daughter is a German teacher here.

What a beautiful morning, no surprise there!
My daughter started school last wednesday. She was so excited the week before that she was constantly re-organizing her book bag. By friday, school was boring and she could not wait for Winter break, go figure.

As to Mud pie, any time any where, the fish soup can stay under the waves.

Good morning, everyone!

Most schools here in Indiana have been in session for 2 weeks now! My niece and nephew go to "year round" school and they've been going since July! But, they're due for a 2 week break here within the next week or so.

I do miss the first day of school. I really liked school...new classroom, new teacher, some new kids, some old ones...the smell of my new textbooks...new school supplies...and the square pizza the cafeteria served...HEAVEN!

John, mud cake is just fabulous.
Full of unsweetened choclate, sugar, coffee, bourbon, butter, eggs and a few other things. The color is like mud. After one slice of it you feel like you have eaten a ton of iron :-)
I tasted it down under. But where is it originally from?

A cup of tea for those on the west coast;
And I suspect those across the pond are getting ready for martinis.
