Hello Everyone!!!
I am losing my mind with my computer today. I cannot save any of the captures as a jpg file - my computer insists on saving them at a bitmap file!!! Any suggestions anyone??? This just started yesterday!!!

Stan - Sarge is the sargent major that visits the wreck. We have not come up with names for some of the new fish that are now coming to visit us at this new location!!!

Mary. Try deleting the temporary internet files, that usually works for me.

I must say a big thanks to you Mary, and Jeff and Ron too, for the toothpaste tip. We cleaned all 3 masks and they look like new again. Annie B.

Hey Jake - What's up with the weather reporting - last thing recorded was on 8/25?!?!?

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By Jake Richter (Moderator - Post #5031) on Friday, August 27, 2004 - 12:45 pm:     Edit PostPrint Post

The software we use to capture the weather information occasionally just decides that it's had enough and just stops working. When someone notices that has happened (usually a couple of days), we go and kick in the butt and tell it to get to work again (in geek speak "we restart the process"). So, thanks for noticing and the software and been kicked! :-)

Jake

Stan - you are cracking me up!!!!

Though nice pose in in the 14:48 capture!!!

thought we had gotten you hooked on calling the fish sarge - because that was the one that we see the most of at this new location.

We have named several fish that used to visit the camera in the old location - you can find that here reefcam critter gallery

Some very nice pictures of the fish that used to visit us - now we have to settle with mainly sarge and yellow sanppers!!!LOL!!!

and, while we are calling names:

willy

it that Willy from Free Willy part 4 or is it the wreck????

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By Mary Mueller (Supreme BonaireTalker - Post #3048) on Friday, August 27, 2004 - 3:17 pm:     Edit PostPrint Post

Stan - that shot of Pierre gets posted at least 4 times a year - it is great. One of my favorites in is the school of blue tangs coming at the camera - like they are trying to figure out how the heck did this get here!!!

Unfortunately - colors do not show up as good in the new location - unless the fish are on top of the camera - due to the depth. the old cam was at about 10 feet - as compared with the current 60 feet.

I think the wreck should be named Willy - think you came up with something!!!LOL!!

that would be an honour. And, fun!
yep, 60ft isn't good for the colors....

Almost time for a small drink... :-)

it's so incredible late for me to still be online and 'working'. Well. deadlines are a killer for your social life.
See you tormorrow all! (or later today..LOL)

Hahaha Sarge{er, Stan} I already guessed that you were calling everything in sight by that name, but was a little wary to mention it. Annie B.

Mary. I hope my MFM (minty fresh mask} doesn't scare the fish away.

One from the archives.

Hi Diana. Martine returned home today.

After our meeting, she and JP travelled down south to Cornwall, and I think they really enjoyed it there. I am not sure whether we shall see her here tomorrow, as she has to return straight to work. Annie B.

Mary. I too thought that the tank looks very loose.

Hi folks, I am back
I just wanted to say I had a wonderful time in UK, and my best memory will be when I met Annie and Trev. I will make a report on CC, I promice. Annie is a wonderful person, and it seems I know her for years. Definitely my friend.
We had a nice ride all over Cornwall, we visited Stonehenge and so beautiful and legendary places. Let's rest now, unfortunately I am working tomorrow. Sigh !
Good night, I see you back tomorrow.
