Good morning all.

Starbucks coffee is ready to wake one and all.

We saw Open Water last night. Booooooooring. It is a short movie and yet it is still too long. It is so bad and and rates just ahead of the absolute worst movies. (Just pick one.) If I was not a diver, I would have demanded my money back. Eight of us from the Atlanta Reef Dwellers met, ate dinner, and went to the movie.

We had a discussion about safety and signaling devices after the movie. I have both a orange safety sausage and a dive alert horn. One comment was that Bonaire diving is shore diving and the island will not leave you.

John. Yes, not exactly a blockbuster is it, and I did wonder why they didn't have any safety/signalling gear with them. Annie B.

Buenos Dias to All!!!

Thanks for the sunsets last night!

It is a bit cloudy here in Georgia, it seems we are going to get rain.

John, your time is getting closer to go to Bonaire, I am sure you are counting the days. Is your wife going? Tell her I say hello.

One more day and I am off to California - yeah!!

Thanks for the coffee!! Have a great day :-)

'Asa Says hello. Yes, she is going to Bonaire with me and I am ready to go. Must wait, because you cannot rush the coral spawning.

Enjoy California.

Mary,

The movie was boring and show people on a cattle boat making dumb decisions and not having proper gear. For about a $100 you can have a dive alert horn, whistle, sausage, and mirror. It took me 47 dives to see my first shark and until my last trip to the Keys to see anything other than sand sharks and nurse sharks.

I have recognized the possibility of being left behind and dive the way the crew wants and make sure some people on the boat would know I am missing.

Annie, I'm being quoted a price of $399 pp for 6 nights including airfare, all-inclusive on the beach for Puerto Plata, which as I said, is crazy, it's way crazy and you can shore dive at the resort, reef just off the beach. So many islands to look at. My husband has traveled the world thanks to his military career (retired), but not I. I plan to see it one island at a time.

I'm hungry, food's ready, gotta go eat!

Glad you were around for the sunset Kathy. I had to go vacuum the swimming pool and the pump broke, so now we have a half clean pool. Think its time to shut it down for the summer instead of buying a new pump. I'm tired of cleaning it anyway!
