Hi Folkz... Just wondering if the 81.5 water temp is accurate - it seems to change none to very little - "normally" it fluctuates a degree or so over the course of a day. BTW that's my wife and me in the WebCam Pic of the Month on InfoBonaire! Thanks... Bill and Donna

Bill, you're right. It usually does flucuates at least a degree or two. I'll shoot off an email to Jake and Linda:-) Thanks for the heads up.

Congratulations on getting your picture featured! Very cool!

There's less fluctuation that you would think, probably attributable to the fact that the probe is in an area with constantly moving water (water which doesn't move around a lot is more likely to see more temperature fluctuations).

Jake

Less fluctuation perhaps, but ZERO fluctuation? It has not moved from 81.5 day or night for more than a week...

Bill and Donna, we got mostly 83 degree readings on the computer while there July 30-Aug7th. It was warm enough to us, especially as the daytime temps neared 90 and above. Never got cold, and shucked the 3mms after 2 dives and I wore a skin, my husband a dive shirt and swim trunks. These were dives in excess of 1 hour each time, and at least 2, most times 3 dives a day, including night dives.

Kathy, what Jake and Bill are referring to is the temperature sensor on the underwater webcam. In general, it will flucuate a degree or two over a period of days, and it has remained at 81.5F...but as Jake said, maybe because of the current?
