Hi everyone. Yes I woke up late Martine. LOL. That Cornish deluge was caused by the remnants of tropical storm Bonnie, and now they are predicting heavy gales from Charley this weekend. Well I hope it stays down south, and doesn't affect us here. We need it to be a nice sunny day for Sunday don't we. Annie B.

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By John Stigaard (Experienced BonaireTalker - Post #269) on Tuesday, August 17, 2004 - 7:46 am:     Edit PostPrint Post

Good morning.

Starbucks coffee is ready.

Still getting reports on Charley here. A large area will not have the electric back on for at least a couple weeks. Many gas stations destroyed and people must drive out of the area to pump gas. Water system not working. The area still gets afternoon thunderstorms.

Just a few miles to the north in Venice FL, they will resume diving on Wed. They expect the area for the shark tooth fossils to be good for new finds.

John, Thanks for the update. My folks used to live in Venice. We used to enjoy searching for shark teeth on the beach there.

Venice Beach is another place our family goes often. We have tons of shark's teeth we've found, diving there. Only one perfect megaladon though!

Goodmorning/afternoon all!!!!

I dare not say anything about the bright yellow ball, up in the sky, for fear it will go away! We haven't seen it in so long, I am contemplating taking a picture to prove it actually exists!!!!!

All the rain we have been getting caused a short in one of the electrical lines coming into the building here at work yesterday. We had e-mail, but not internet, some lights, some computers, and phones. Made for a great day :-(:-(
I couldn't cam, but I get e-mail notification so I at least could lurk, kinda.

Annie....I hope Charley stays away from you, sounds like Bonnie did enough damage in Cornwall to keep everyone over there busy for a while!!!!

Martine and Annie....can't wait to see pictures of you two together (hint, hint.....)

John....thanks for the update.....

Everyone have a great day!!! and to borrow a quote from Elvira.....keep smiling (it makes people wonder what you have been up too!):-):-):-):-)

job
........ wet mopping the shoreline!! :-) :-)

Just think - it would (almost) keep you out of trouble all day, you could work on your tan at the same time, and just walk out and take a dip if you got too warm!!!

I wonder how much it pays..... and how or where would I submit my application???
