Yes, it's true...after a week of watching the rest of us dive, missing Kelly, and a taking a resort course, Alison signed up for the PADI dive class through Bon Bini Divers at Lion's Dive and after a grueling three days of studying, diving and watching the videos she DID IT! Lucky girl signed up for a class for which the other students didn't show...had her own private course! Jeremy was her instructor and I can highly recommend him! WOOOHOOOOHOOO!!!

Just in time for the last day we will be able to dive...keep your eyes on the underwater cams!

Alison great job and welcome to the UW world. Now comes the real learning part of diving, it starts on your first dive after certification. The two big things to learn are bouyancy and getting comfortable. You will recognize the first when it happens, the second will take longer and be harder to recognize. Enjoy your dives in Bonaire, it does not get any better.

I want to add a few things about Alison. She is one of the most charming young women I have ever met. We bonded almost immediately, and laughed our heads off (especially the flat tire fiasco... right Alison???). I truly enjoyed the time I got to spend with her and Barbara. Barbara is a great mother, and they have a good relationship, that is easy to see. Barbara, Alison is a testament to what kind of mom you are. You did good, girl!

Now, we have to get our girls together in Bonaire so Steph can see how fun it is and get certified too! ;)

Thanks for all the wonderful words everyone...Kelly you brought tears to my eyes! We are sadly coming to the end of our trip...one more dive to go today (seahorses!)and a trip around the park tomorrow. I want to thank you all for your support and help with getting us oriented to Bonaire even before we got here! And I couldn't have had a better group of dive companions than Kelly, Wally, Eva, Joey, Seb, Mary, Kathy and Larry! They were WONDERFUL!
