Holey Moley....I just realized it's really July and we fly in 17 days. Digging out the gear now. Begin over planning ASAP
|
By Annette (BonaireTalk Deity - Post #11363) on Saturday, July 10, 2004 - 9:17 am: |
Sarge looks a bit grumpy today.
|
By Kathy Hall (New BonaireTalk Poster - Post #6) on Saturday, July 10, 2004 - 9:20 am: |
Wally and Eva - are you guys going to bring full wetsuits? The water temp seems so warm, but I see all these people in full wetsuits! A shorty maybe? I can't even see the need for that! And the luggage space it will take up if we bring all that! groan They always act like our scuba gear is a weapons cache in Atlanta. They totally unpacked the case on the trip to Bahamas!
|
By Wally and Eva (Experienced BonaireTalker - Post #410) on Saturday, July 10, 2004 - 9:30 am: |
We are carrying a skin and a 3mm shorty (Eva's is new and still 3mm, mine is about 10 years old and a little flat).

I wish someone would change the sign that says to stay at least 10 feet away from the cams for the best result!! it should also state that if you have signage you should put it as close as you can, like maybe 12 inches away so the folks at home can read what it says...
|
By Annette (BonaireTalk Deity - Post #11364) on Saturday, July 10, 2004 - 12:25 pm: |
Oh Rusty. What a shame we couldn't read the sign. Thanks for posting the pictures. I agree with Freddie. Get closer to the cam with the signs everyone. Annie B.

Rusty throwing kisses and waving frantically! LOL Hi Freddie! Hi Annie! I was out back taking shots of BoxerBob's pond - the first lotus of the season is about to open. There's also a waterlily and some woodfrogs basking. They'll be taking off for the woods soon and I won't see them again til next year when they return to breed.

It's funny but we can see some yellows in the wetsuits and sergeant majors and PINK seems to jump right out - *if* that's pink and not another color being twisted by the light at that depth.

one thing that is bad is that believe it or not while we were there the current at times was bad in front of the webcams . Jake talked about getting rebar I think for people to hang onto during the times for when the current was bad.
