Greetings, buddies! Eileen - sounds like you've been a bad girl and had your computer taken away again. Bummer, you've been grounded. See you on the flip side!

Hey John - wassup with the Starbucks. It's coffee, right? LOL I'm obviously coming in late on the java thing here.

It's a beautiful morning on Bonaire. Oh, to be there, on Bonaire, in the morning air, with Seb and Mar - - - y. :-)

Oh, look at the time:

Good morning everybody !
Please, forgive me, I have been away for a couple of days ( back problems again ) and quite hard to stand on the puter :o(
Look, we can see parasailers :o)
I wish you a nice day.

Morning all,

Every time I order a "coffee" at Starbucks I feel inadequate. Everyone around is ordering a "hotte, latte, half caff, shiplap with a twist" and all I want is a coffee. A whole pot full, but just coffee.

Martine, I hope you find relief - soon.

Looks like there is a strong current running this morning (look at the sailboats)

Rusty, I enjoyed your frog photo from yesterday.

Have a good day.

Poor Martine - it's a shame your back is keeping you from our company, and your favorite activities. Here's a gentle BT hug for you - {{{Martine}}}.

Hey Tom - I love the frogs around the backyard. Today is cloudy and wet and the green frog is doing his call - like a plucked G string. On a BANJO. :-) The woodfrogs seem to be silent except in the breeding ponds in April - they sound like mallards quacking.

LaDonna - no Romeo today?

I was thinking that a Rock Beauty would have to be named after a rock n' roller like Bonnie Raitt or Chrissie Hynde or Tina Turner. This could get interesting. (Even David Lee Roth used to be a beauty!) LOL

Stan, Welcome to the boards and good job on Bart and Bob's website.

Mary is mistaken or forgetful on your needing to upgrade your membership. Send a check for $150.00 (U.S.) to the P.T.F. and you will be upgraded as soon as it clears.

Address is:

Poor Tom Foundation
Thistown, U.S.A.

(Only kidding Stan)

John a.k.a. Smack, Check your answering machine there is going to be a short message for you:-{o} To all others, I do not enjoy heights so parasailing is out of the question as Smack knows which is why he made that post. By the way John got the nickname Smack because it is the sound his outdrive makes when it hits something.

Mary, I wish you the best keeping Kelly in line.

Mary, yes, we took the course last month and Steve is ready for certification, but I was "held back" for being a nose breather. :-( After spending about 1-1/2 hours in the shallow end practicing with my face in the water and no mask, I thought I had it. I was able to do the mask purge and was thisclose to getting the mask removal skill. But I lost my concentration at the last second and reverted back to trying to breathe like a fish. :-( I have to find time to work on it, too many family obligations the last few weeks. Does anybody have any suggestions aside from practice-practice-practice? The instructor was VERY cool and said he'd work with me on it at a later date, at no charge. (I intend to give him some $$ for the private lessons, since he's doing it in his free time.) I've just been so busy I haven't even had a chance to get near a pool to practice.

Want to get certified so I can join in the fun!

Hi, Lisa :-) Retirement is GREAT!! :-)

Hi Mary!! :-)

What kept me so busy?? Well.......Retirement!! :-)

.....and - getting a sailboat ready to get back in the water, including some structural repairs from a little misadventure last year, and building finishing and installing new shelves, drawers, doors, etc. for the galley (kitchen, landlubbers).

I don't know how I ever got any of it done when I was working. I was putting in 18 hour days on the boat for about 2 weeks - and still have things to finish.

For now, I've almost caught up on everything in BT, but still have to tackle CC - that should be enough to keep me busy for a couple of weeks!!

I sure am happy the Cams are still up and running, because I love the views.
view view2

I'll try and get into more detail a little later on CC - at the rate I'm going, that might be next week :-) :-)

:-) Bill :-)

Lisa - great news - soon you will get the hang of it!!! I can just feel it!!!

Annie - I will be there a week before Kelly arrives - so you will see me in front of the cams with my youngest son!!! WOOOHOOO!!! I can't wait!!!!!!!

Tom - I wouldn't even attempt to keep Kelly in line!!! Too much fun staying out of line with her!!!!

Not sure, Mary. Maybe this fall. We'd only be going this year because the owner of "our villa" is building more next door to it in January, and we may never go back to it (it's on the hill overlooking Cruz Bay, didn't have any next door neighbors). Steve wants to see Bonaire in person, since I talk about it all the time and send him cam pics almost daily. Might be able to get a Spring trip to Bonaire, if I pout, beg and cry enough. LOL!!

LaDonna, Thanks for telling me it WAS the suits color, I thought my monitor was getting ready to die!

Mary, Just so you know it, I am jealous of you and Kelly. I will be thinking of you two suffering in that cold Bonaire water while I am sweating in my drysuit. 94 days for Smack and I:-{(} And no, I still am not going to parasail.

Lisa, Similar methods, same results. For me, I leave photos of previous trips all over the house, walk around sighing (a lot) and put on my best puppy dog eyes, kind of like John Belushi in the tunnel scene of The Blues Brothers. After a while my wife usually says "Hey Honey, why don,t you go to Bonaire!"

John-Smack, Tell them, how long did it take for us to get tickets to Bonaire after Pam told me I should go with you in October? Less than a day if I remember right:-{)}
