All alone under the palm tree.....I'll do it and suffer, too! LOL. Must be overcast today...everything seems to be in the shadows a bit...that's OK...a little cloud cover is welcomed when you are in that sunny heat all day long! I know I like a cloud flying by once in a while when I am on Bonaire! LOL. Carolealone

Carole...any idea what might keep a teen occupied on Bon? We're leaving in 3 weeks and I'm trying to be sure my 14 yo is having fun too!

We don't have any kids so I'm not certain how you would keep a 14 year old entertained other than the water is wonderful, lots of snorkeling, checking out the iguanas (gently!) and the birds, etc. The Park is a great place to explore in the car/truck with the folks and you can get out and hit some of the water spots or explore some of the the trails and land critters, too.

Donkey Sanctuary is a great place to visit...bring LOTS of apples or carrots if you can and Marina will help you cut them up and you can hand feed it to the sweet donkeys. They are soooo gentle...you will never even know they have teeth...soft lips will take the treats from your hands. Just watch your feet, especially if you have sandals on....they get excited and don't realize they might step on your toes/feet.

I know others will jump in here to help you out....How about Caren and her water program for kids? There is info about her on other threads in here. Might be something fun! Carole

Looks like someone is at Bongo's having fun! Should be fun for us if the soccer/football matches are on tv at the bar and lots of folks watch them. I know it was THE thing to be doing while we were still there and Holland was still playing in the semi finals. Everyone in town was wearing huge orange foam hats and t shirts all over the place! They were all having fun downtown on the waterfront under the tents and at City (Cyber) Cafe cbred

Carole, thanks for the info...I have contacted Marina and she will let Alison help out with the donkeys, feeding, cleaning, etc (works for her, she's a horse girl) and just visited the other site you suggested! :-)

Lots of great activity, today! I'm having a lot of fun just watching everyone have fun! LOL.

Barb, that sounds like a great idea...working with Marina at the Sanctuary! Wow...that's terrific! She'll love that. There are a couple of young kids with her right now as the other lady left recently due to a serious illness...back to Holland.

Your daughter will not be in "want" of things to do...there is so much to do on Bonaire ...even for a 14 year old young lady! Have a great time!! Where will you be staying??

Great capture, Annette!

Olaf...too real looking for my liking! LOL. Don't worry Katie...he won't be there.

Barb...head on down to the Divi beach, too...great, great snorkeling there...just act like you belong there and don't attract too much attention and it should be OK. We get upset when folks come over and are loud and obnoxious and use up the chairs and come in hordes (weekends, mostly). I know Gregg gets upset, too! LOL. The reef there is absolutely fabulous for snorkeling.

Renee can take you there on part of her guided tour. She can also take you to the Town Pier as she is a guide...that is fascinating over there!! Do that positively, if you can, OK?

Here are two shots from a moment ago....peaceful...I have PBD soooo bad!!!! Carole12
