Now that we have this great view of a beach, what are we in BT going to do about the problem of nudity? We know it's going to happen (stop laughing, Europeans). We might as well get it out in the open now (so to speak). The following is my opinion only.

I would just as soon not us slip into voyeurism, if it comes up for either a laugh or a story or a request, so be it. In other words, minimal postings and not just for the sake of it.

I've heard about the penalty the broadcasting compagnies got for the nipple gate thing, I doubt if we want this to happen to BT. I think you are right to point us to the subject. Linda, Jake, Dan, have you been thinking about this?

Didn't realise that you were so shy.... I think that most of us have very good morals and can refrain from posting any obsenities....Topless ... is few and far between.. Total nudity... I think that you may find it in the secluded beaches.... not at the hotels... as for myself.... well I do love to blend in at Orient Beach-- from the waist up......

Yes...I have only experienced topless at the resorts ( not personally being an uptight American....)....but even topless would be offputting to some potential tourists.... ( other up tight Americans with small children, maybe?) m

I agree, Cecil, but on the other hand we had remarkably few problems with it at the Richter's front door. It seems to me it would have been a lot easier to flash the camera on the street and then take off in a rental car. At the beach, you've got all the other guests and hotel staff to deal with. The chances of getting busted are much greater, and as I recall there are some fairly strict guidelines about running in the buff on the Island. Besides, the resolution on 'parts' might not be all that great based on how far away from the camera they are.

Yes, I would most likely get a chuckle out of someone flashing the camera (just my immature child side showing through), but I agree we don't need to broadcast it through posts. It's kind of like the streaker at the Super Bowl, you just ignore it and hope it goes away.

I don't think flashing is the issue...(altho we have had those)...it's more a matter of certain topless sun worshipers who are just doing what is accetpted in their culture on other beaches in other places ( and in Bonaire for that matter) I'm not personally offended either....it may be a non-issue......unless we choose to make it one.....you know how we are......margarite

We discussed mammarian exposure with Henk of Bongos and he indicated that such use of the beach was not horribly common (although not rare either). Based on current camera resolution, however, the ability to see any real detail, even with advanced imaging techniques, is severely limited. It will require lots of imagination on the part of the viewer, I suspect.

That said, should some folks be uptight about seeing exposed body parts which at some point in their early life they undoubtedly fed from, oh well. You can't make everyone happy all of the time.

Certainly I have never seen any complaints from anyone about live fish group procreation on the ReefCam, and it happened like clock work from 11:30am to about 1pm daily (yes - that is what those blue headed wrasses were doing with their harems of willing female companions every day on the ReefCam :-) ).

If *I* remember correctly - the skinny-dippers on the reef cam were a bit overexposed - and not their best side, in most cases - remember Marc the Moonfish - but the beach was barely (no pun intended) a problem.

In fact, I missed the breast, er, best, shots until JAKE pointed them out. LOL Thank goodness for the archives!

Whoops, as a dutchie (over here it was a trend a couple of years ago, to sunbathe topless) I did not think at all about this. But I think I agree with Jake, that with the resolution of the cam it will not be a very great problem. Over here the trend is somewhat over (at least in our part of the beach).
Maybe it will happen occasionally, but I would not think of it as a major problem. I'm very happy with the view

Barbara and all, my concern was not nudity per se but more the oggel factor rearing it's ugly head. It would be better if we did not do that. There's also the issue of someone on the beach not wanting their topless picture flashed around the globe.

For your information, as far as I remember, I never saw a "mammarian exposure" on Bonaire. Most of the people are divers, not sunbathers. I hope ladies are aware that "Topless" on a tropical country ( or any other sunny place either ) is particularly very risky, regarding breast cancer. Sorry; but I know what I am talking about.
Let's see what happens when the cams are fixed, but I am quite sure there will be no problem.

KLM crews, as all other crews of the world ( except @\§%¤! airline ) between two flights, have nothing to do but sunbathe and ...drink. They can't even dive, too short between the flights. Anayway, the tanning pier is theirs :o) If the stewardesses were aware of the dangers of topless, I think they would keep their bras on. And to my opinion a girl is sexiest with a tiny two pieces bikini than topless. When will the girls at last understand that what is hidden is much more exciting than exhibited...

Yes, the KLM flight attendants at Divi are most beautiful...oh, and not only are they there, but at the beach in Belnam...Kelly and I were exiting after our dive, I got knocked down by a wave and just decided to crawl out...so here I am crawling out...covered with sand...in full gear and I look up and this gorgeous woman...bearing her "mammalian" things was walking toward me...boy did I feel like a klutz!!!

Hi guys....not a nude beach ie Sorobon. A few ladies sunbath topless but usually about 100ft. south of the cam viewing area so they can watch their kids. A few little kids scamper about.
