Have some coffee.

It the last dawn from this location. Shortly, we will have a new beach to observe our dawns.

Took 3 grandchildren to their first Rodeo last night. Today we have our 3 children and six grandchildren over for lunch and a swim.

Thanks I have a large cup, I need to maintain body warmth. Two tanker today in 50 degree water.

I am at a loss for words to describe my thoughts on the last day of the cams where they are. No matter how nice and interesting the new locations will be, they will never be the old location. No more Smokey, or land shark, or Richter family or a host of others who showed up for our entertainment. Anyways here's a salute to all of them, SALUTE.

At the same time, I look forward to our new friends. I'm not sure what we'll do in the mean time.

Hi BWC-less BT-ers!

I want to ditto the Salute ; ditto!!!

Saying goodbye is not one of my favourite things, come to think of it , I am not very good at it either :-)

Anyway: Goodbye to the streetcam , it has been fun watching all the Richters and friends and visitors and Critters at the gate.

Goodbye to the beachcams,I am going to miss the view.

3 weeks no sunny Bonaire to be seen :-(

I don't know if I can miss it that long.

Well , long live the Archives.

Hi, guys! We just returned home last nite. Great, great trip. I feel "guilty" as we did not make it to the street cam for the final shots....Joe and I were mesmerized in the pool at the house we were staying at playing with a four foot iguana for hours in the water with us....My theory is that of the old '50's film "The Swimmer" with Burt Lancaster.....this Iguana (Iggy, of course) hits a different pool each day or several in one day and ours was his stop on that Saturday. He was in the pool for over 18 hours on our first day. He's come up for air on occasion and then grip the tile on the side of the pool and sun himself for a while. So much fun to swim with him and watch him for hours! Relaxing, too. He would swim between Joe's legs at times, too....funny. I took some shots which I can post later on.

I do feel bad that we were not there to help pull the plug believe me! Niki said they waited a whole five minutes for us and then proceeded on! LOL. I feel flattered they waited for us that long and I do feel bad they did have to wait at all. Niki and Bob have some great shots of the moment they will probably (hopefully!) share with all of us when they return home next week.

Sad day, indeed. Thanks, Jake, Linda, Yana, Bas, Grendel, Mindy and the rest of the critters for sharing your lives with us...I know you are sighing a sigh of relieve a little bit as you will now have a little more privacy in your lives. You have been the best and we all truly do appreciate what you have sacrificed and put up with for the past few years. You all earned huge gold stars for living in a fishbowl....literally!

Belated Happy Birthday to Yana and a belated Happy Father's Day to you, Jake! Thanks for the memories.....Carole and Joe

Thanks, Niki! It looks great to us!! Thanks for taking time to share it with us....I loved looking at the "originals" the night we all were together at the house eating Bobbyjan's ribs! Yummmm. YOu have loads of beautiful shots. Loved the melting ice pics, too...very imaginative and artistic! Back to "reality" now....work.......ugh. My first week back was sooo stressful...a killer week in my office...oneof the busiest for incoming Workers Comp claims at the County...they all "knew" I was going to be away and waited for my return...the long holiday weekend and a full moon plus Venus and her rings didn't help! LOL. Ayo. Carole

Much, much crisper pics, this time, Niki! Thanks for making the adjustments for all of us to enjoy. It is sad, indeed.....it was part of our lives for quite a long time. A new beginning for the Richters as well as the BT'ers out here.

I wonder how long folks will continue to drop by the "old" house looking for the cams while the "new" guy from BOPEC is in there??!! LOL. I hope he has a sense of humor, at least!

That's the Richter's old neighbor, Harrie, right? The kids look cute, too. Ayo. Carole

PS I popped in my CD ROM of my edited vacation shots at work today and let the "slide show" run across my monitor/pc while I was working on some other stuff (paper stuff) at my desk....loved looking at the pics of Bonaire. Wish we were there right now! I realized (too late, of course) that I did not take a pic of you and Bob this time...duh!!! I'll get you guys next year, OK? cb
