Good morning Niki. Maybe if I say hi to them as well, will they say it to me too???

Time to serve some coffee or tea!
Very busy two days. Sorry I didn't have more time for you guys (and girls).
Jenni, I read it went well with the micro-teach. I had all the faith that it would work!

Now about work... let's start with that today
Enjoy the morning!

Good Morning Niki - You know I thought the very same thing:-) Good Morning Diana :-)
I wonder if Igor and Cinthie planned who they would say hello to before they went, or are, as you say, checking the boards. So just in case I have any influence...

Hi Igor and Cinthie :-) We miss you

I agree, Diana, the photos of Quinn are utterly delightful, and a super duper way of starting my morning. Reminds me of what is real, and what is not :-):-)

So, who's making coffee for us all this morning then? And where is Martine? I remember she had a medical problem yesterday and I hope it is not causing her distress. Looking on the bright side she may have a day off and be sleeping in zzz

Hi Katie and welcome to Bonaire Talk! You will probably find your answer on another thread, perhaps under "Everything Else Bonaire". This thread is generally for posting webcam images and the resulting discussion. If you do a keyword search and type in "casino" you get a bunch of information! Divi has a casino, I've been there and it's a pretty nice one.

Have fun on your trip!

Safe diving.

Kelly

Had a phone call - someone wants to see the house, and even tho' I tell myself not to get my hopes up, this time they are up. Maybe still on a high from yesterday???

I'm keeping my fingers crossed someone/somewhere takes on the reefcam. I would have thought they'd have been fighting for it, with all us lot going round there and checking it out. Whoever took in on would surely increase their business. I just don't get it!

And Mary I sure hope you get to see it :-):-):-)

Hi all,

A few items:

1) Igor & Cinthie came into the Gallery this morning and said they are having a great time on Bonaire (I'm embarrassed to say I didn't recognize them at first!). They will be joining us at Gibi's tonight. Cinthie says she doesn't want to leave next week :-)

2) The ReefCam is definitely in need of a cleaning. Now that I'm back from yet another trip I will attempt it shortly (tomorrow or Thursday for sure). Hope I can fit into my wet suit after all the eating out I've been doing during my business trips!

3) Regarding the future of the WebCams, we have just received a proposal in writing from friends who have offered to invest in the WebCams as part of a partnership, which in turn would significantly reduce the cost to a resort for having the WebCams on-property (the proposal had been under discussion for over a month, incidentally, but it took us a while to get the gist of it committed to paper (or electrons, actually :-) ). We are in the process of refining the proposal into an agreement which both parties can execute. When that happens (we're pretty sure it will, hopefully very soon), we will be approaching one particular resort with a new offer and a deadline to respond. If they fail to respond, we will probably open up a bidding process to all other resorts with another deadline, and hope at that point we will close a deal.

In any event, we hope to have an idea of where the WebCams are going in the next 2-3 weeks, and then effect a move of the Cams sometime in June. In terms of the existing location here at our rented house, it's not likely much infrastructure will exist to support the Cams (e.g. Internet service) will be active at our house beyond mid-June (since we will start seriously moving to our new house at that point), so we would like to get the WebCams moved before then if at all possible. Again - we don't know for sure that the WebCams will have a new home, but it's looking a lot more likely than it did a week or two ago.

Jake

1 It's over now.
It's very weird Jenni. Maybe it was the last reflexion of the sun on the upper clouds, but to be franck, I never saw this that late after sunset. And noctiluscent clouds never turn red !
I am puzzled. And they all went to Gibi's, so they didn't even see it :o(
Jenni, maybe the night divers have quite powerful lights...

The idea about the divers having powerful lights is plausible. Maybe they were testing them upwards before they entered the water.

Altogether a pretty amazing experience. Glad I saw it live - very exciting :-):-):-) And glad you were here at the same time - to prove I am not crazy :-) LOL
