Good morning,

A big joke here is about those who have very tacky pink flamingos in their front yard. I have seen the flamingos on Bonaire.

Jenni, The Starbucks coffee is ready and hot. :-)

And to all you Mothers, Happy Mothers Day.

We are looking at 90 degrees today. Love the summer.

Good Morning John, and thanks for hot Starbucks coffee :-):-):-)

I happen to have a 'tacky' pink flamingo in my bathroom LOL which I bought in Acapulco. Don't know if I can take it to the new house tho' :-(

Kev is just telling me that 'pink flamingo' means something other than pink flamingo in the US, and a song was banned or something that had the words pretty flamingo in it. Never heard of it myself.

Very jealous of your 90 degrees John. Enjoy

And yes, happy mother's day to all Mum's in the US

Annette,

I doubt if she is on coral. My guess, right in front of the mooring, it is a sand and/or rubble bottom. I will let you know in Oct when you take my pic and I will get you a photos of the webcam and the area there.

I also keep seeing the parrot fish adding to the sand.

John ...

The webcam's concrete mooring block is only 1m high (being in 3 or 4 mtrs of water) .. so he must be standing.
There's hardly any sand bottom in Bonairian waters, so he's standing on coral-rubbish yeah. However, this may seem rubbish to most people, it in fact is re-arising coral structures .. containing lots of small critters and other life.

So .. standing in 'that rubbish' is not very thoughtful in terms of preserving and understanding this underwater paradise !!

Keep that in mind when you get to Bonaire .. not everything is what it seems ...

have finished my written exam:-):-):-) and have emailed it off to one mentor to check over, and have printed out a copy to take to another mentor tomorrow. They will give me comments and then I can decide/choose what to alter, if anything. So I am feeling I am on my way.

Kev and I have springcleaned some of my filing systems today and thrown out [recycled] mounds of paper.

Tomorrow I am doing my micro-teach, for which I need an endorsement from each of my 2 mentors. Tomorrow it is Mary, and I go to Kendal in the Lake District to a Professional Development group there. I am finishing off preps for the micro-teach now.

and sunset just keeps right on coming....

have now packed my marker pens etc, and checked my flip chart diagrams. Will take my notes to bed with me, and try and get it all in my head. Want to think of some good examples from my therapy group, but I can do that while travelling up there.

Olaf,

And we walk out through that type of rubble with every shore dive we do too. (It is a rough walk, too) Yes, it is also nice to know that the reef may be coming back in these areas. You can see in the distance from the webcam some new small coral starting. Yes, I am sure there are small critters and parasites in the rubble.
