Good morning,
Eileen, It is good that you avoided having your baby on my birthday. I share a birthdate with Hitler.
We had a nice time last night. Had dinner at a new churrascaria (Brazil for steak house) here in Marietta. Sal Grosso has six units in Rio opened their first one in the U. S. here. Very good.

Then went to Starbucks for coffee.

Hello Heather & Welcome! I was down your neck of the woods last week and weekend for a conference [in Reading]
Hello John, and Happy Birthday for yesterday!

I'm back from the dentist with a numb mouth and feeling like I had a fight with Cassius Clay/Muhammed Ali wink

I was up earlier and working on Hump Day or Bump to Baby Day words and got involved in a phone conversation and then had to rush off to the dentist. Guess Eileen and her 'bump' are on all our minds [as in Cynde]

Bit of surf and a speedboat?

Martine, you be careful vacuuming with your back only just recovering!

And yes, it looks very dark and cloudy, and grey. Much like northern England actually laf

John, there are also two other Churrascarias in the Atlanta area:

- Fogo de Chao on 3101 Piedmont Road (very good food)
-Carro de Boi on 8612 Roswell Road ( I have not been to this one but I've heard is also very good)

If you like to try different foods, there's a Havana Sandwich Shop on Buford Hwy and North Druid Hills - the Cuban sandwiches are delicious and there coffee w/milk and fruit milkshakes are also very good.

Annette,

Where in London are you? I'm close to Heather - our address is Wokingham although we live in a village just outside and last week when Jenni travelled to Reading, I was going shopping so we were all geographically close to each other for a few days. Strange how these things happen.

I'm fed up with the rain, but the grass is looking very green!

Heather, yes, I did see it - a fantastic programme and such a brave man. I was in tears throughout. I didn't know DebRa was a local charity - I've worked for Horticultural Therapy in Beech Hill (now called Thrive) and now work as a counsellor for Cruse the bereavement charity.

Annette, another coincidence. I was born in Harrow, not too far from Enfield.

Joel has been informed about posting!! LOL!!

Barbara, there is a back up plan, should nothing happen we are going in for a BioPhysical appt (stress test for baby) on Friday. Should they find something abnormal, I will be induced right away (which is what happened to my neighbour a week ago). The baby is still active, moving and Joel can hear a clear heartbeat. So that's good. Should the stress test come out good, next Tues, I will be 'gelled' to see if anything starts and if not, an induction will be on next Wed. I will be 41 +4 days by that point. My blood pressure and everything else is normal as if I wasn't pregnant, so that's good too. Whew!

Hello Jenni! I agree, I hope everything comes naturally too, but I also understand that the health of baby is more important. As for the hospital stay, I hope I do not have to stay long - I would rather be at home. The midwife comes over for the 1st few days anyway after birth.

Eileen. I too hope that things happen naturally for you. When Emma had her first baby, she was home the same day. With the next two, she was home after about four hours. Talk about rush you in and out. Annie B.

I have the feeling we should have started another thread. Oh dear.

That is how it is nowadays here too, some hospitals will automatically do a c-section (not mine) after 24hrs just to get you in and out (even if it isn't necessary), almost like a business.

Eileen - glad your hospital does not push c-sections!!! Go the old fashioned way unless there is a problem!!! Any contractions at all today!?!?!

Mary, the Braxton-Hicks are quite strong (not painful though). I agree with you, if there is a problem or there is a danger to mom and baby, then a c-section. Our hospital also has a whirpool(with my name on it) and a shower & bathroom in each room. Enough for 2 people!! Which is great for the partners who love to help out.

Anyway, Joel and I are going for a walk, probably out to the mall by our subdivision too. I will check in later:-).

I hate it when hospitals make these 9 - 5 babies I had my first baby at home - I loved it. Hope you're not in longer than you need to be, Eileen

Enjoy your walk Eileen and Joel.

Nice pics, Mary and Annie

Annie the teefies are struggling a bit again. I was doing so well after my hols. I've had 2 replacement fillings, one straigt forward and one very mess y and protracted. My dentist has said he doesn't want to do the 3rd tooth cos it will be so awkward. He is referring me to a specialist. I am a bit mithered about it. And this week that tooth [at the back, lower] has an ulcer on the inside of my cheek, and I saw a tiny tiny little white spot on my tongue where they took the biopsy. So not good news, I'm afraid. I shall have to look after myself as well as I did in Sri Lanka!

I know. Neither did I? I have only one left now, in that back, lower tooth. The dentist says the injection will hurt and my mouth will be very numb for ages, that it will be awkward to get a dental dam on that tooth, and cos it is a big filling I will need an infill [costs £300 +] and he is not confident it will go smoothly cos the tooth is at an angle and my cheek easily gets irritated/ulcerated. I should have had an infill in one of the other new fillings but it went wrong and in the end he put a straight forward white filling in it.

No, he is still crawling and nearly do noy move. He looks prostrated and do not feel hungry. He already acted like this several times. It lasts one day or one day and a half, and he returns OK and lively. Kitty is 16 years old and blind :o(

Nice sunset! Martine, sorry to hear about Ramses. Jenni sorry to hear about your tooth. Joel and I had a nice walk, there was a light rain and it was quiet outside. We took some photos too.

Have a goodnight everyone!

I fell asleep on the couch last night, so I did not say goodbye yesterday! As for me, in stead of Martine, I had no problems falling asleep. I had only so much to do yesterday, so now I feel a bit guilty.
Nice sunsets, by the way
Martine, Hope that Ramses is doing better today.

Eileen... Hope the baby will arrive soon! (I think it's gonna be a boy....) Maybe by now you are in labour, but we will find out later.
