Hi all,

We just wanted to let you know that both BonaireTalk and the Bonaire WebCams site will be down for a few hours on either or both of Friday, February 6th and Saturday, February 7th, at night (starting 8pm EST on Friday, 6pm EST on Saturday) because we (Dan physically, with me providing electronic support) are moving the servers to a new co-location facility. No images captured on Bonaire during that time will be lost - just delayed.

The end result should be that the BonaireTalk and Bonaire WebCams sites should be more responsive once the move and all configuration is complete.

Jake

Thanks - Dan's got everything planned out - should work out fine. The servers are currently in Billerica, Mass. and are being moved about 20 miles down the road to Waltham, Mass.

Now if we could only fix the Internet problems here on Bonaire (those problems being the main reason that WebCams images have been intermittent today). The current round of problems is a virtual telephone/Internet monopoly owned by the government which doesn't quite seem to understand what customer service and customer satisfaction is all about, or understand that even without competition you need to keep clients happy. Arg!

The move went well tonight and all our servers are now in their new home. Still cleaning up a few things, but overall it went very smoothly.

Jake, could you please jiggle the north camera a couple of millimeters to the right so that it can once again take in a portion of the pier at the Black Durgon Inn. I really miss the view, and believe the pier gives the image perspective. I had a very wierd dream a few nights ago about that pier. I dreamed that a huge tug boat came along and mowed it down. The dream kept recurring. The next day I thought it was really a strange dream, then I realized, you had moved the north cam, and I was having seperation anxiety over the image no longer being in the picture. Thanks for considering the request. Lonnie
