Actually, the North BeachCam started to die (it got all fuzzy (due to signal noise)) and I was unable to clean it up, so I swapped out the camera for a new one which Linda brought back from the U.S. with her a couple of nights ago.

The new North BeachCam has suprisingly reddish overtones (definitely a Sedona-look!), but does a much better job on blues than the old one and more importantly - no yellow streaks!

hello! What an afternoon... As I was coming home from shopping, I was rear-ended... I'm not impressed (everything will be fine but I am going to the doctor, midwife & chiro tomorrow). I was coming to a stop at a red light (which is what one is supposed to do) when the van behind me decided not to stop. There were 2 teens in the car, no license, no insurance on them and they were giving me a hard time. But I did get the license plate, names and #. We called the police, reported it and let the teens know that should they not provide us with the license info and insurance info, they will be charged. As of now, we have the license # but no insurance. Turns out the teens parents are on holidays and no insurance papers are to be found. Not to worry, baby is acting normally and the human body has an excellent shock absorption system. Keep you posted!

Oh my goodness Eileen! What a mess - glad you and baby are alright. Teens probably doing things they weren't supposed to. Should be big trouble when parents get home. Hope everything turns out well.

I hope so too, I have been in 3 previous (over the last 2 years) rearenders before, I must have a bulleye on the bumpers of my cars. I am also frustrated that I have to go through the extra chiro treatments, insurance and getting the car bumper fixed AGAIN! It can be a long process. But everything is OK, and it could have been worse and I am sure everything will be fine, though it is also common sense to see doctors (the insurance asks that you do anyway). I hope the teens learn their lesson.

Eileen, I'm glad you and your baby are OK!!! Please keep us posted. In Holland the police can find the insurance company and number in a central register, can the police in Canada help you with this??

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of page Link to this message  By Eileen Kimmett (Supreme BonaireTalker - Post #4184) on Sunday, January 25, 2004 - 5:24 pm:     Edit PostPrint Post

Yes the police can, right now we have a 24 hr waiting period for the individual who hit me to find the insurance papers. If not the police will become involved. - It is illegal (very illegal) to drive without insurance. A Driver's license can be forgotten at home. She did provide me with the license #. If one cooperates, usually there is little problem but the young woman (and her boyfriend) is giving me/us a hard time.
